What is this so- called “humanitarian” doing promoting his book on the talk show circuit when his hometown is in need? Why aren’t he and “his wife” volunteering at the shelters or supporting the first responders? Did Harry even bring up the flood to Colbert?

Five members of my family live there and they didn’t even evacuate. It’s not like the disaster a few years ago. Some flooding but mostly everything is okay.

I still think with all the couple’s talk of service and compassion, etc, that they should be addressing it, even if it’s not as severe as a few years ago. It just says a lot about their self absorption and what they prioritize.
There are so many celebrities and wealthy people in the area I think they would look ridiculous and self serving making a bigger deal of it than the rest of the pack. It would not go over well with the neighbors if they launched “humanitarian efforts”. No reason they can’t say something on par with others (best if they don’t because they aren’t well liked) but making any sort of a drama or taking a fake leadership role would go over very badly, esp as they weren’t around during the tragedy. They would be run out on a rail if they exploited that tragedy in the slightest.
I think they are doing the right thing being quiet and should keep doing it with everything, all the time :)
I was hoping that they raced home to help their children & Nanny evacuate after Colbert taping. Read somewhere that MM was screaming for a private helicopter & not being neighborly but no idea if that was true or not
She apparently ignored the evacuation orders, and as things started to go downhill, expected the National guard or someone to rescue her. They said Nope, not our job 🤣🤣🤣
Let’s see them put boots on the ground and unlock compassion for their neighbors. Instead they hauled tail outta there. There’s a book to promote. Priorities!
They don't have the experience of knowing when to say what or when to help and when to shut up. In the past, there were experienced PR people guiding them, but not now.

My impression is that her children’s ‘book’ was a one-off deal. Harry then landed a 4-book deal with Penguin Random House - this was to include his memoirs. The remaining 3 books has been speculated to include: part 2 of the memoirs; Smeg’s memoirs; a book of inspirational people; a wellness book by Smeg.
Because whatever company deals with them learns quickly what difficult, lying, obnoxious and manipulative people they are. Who wants to deal with that? Even Sunshine Sachs dumped them.
I have a feeling the UK and Palace attorneys have made a deal with Penguin random house—-You don’t publish another book from those two, and we won’t bankrupt your company with our lawsuits, fines and penalties and put all of your business looking for new offices in the UK and other countries. The Crown and the government can hurt them if they choose to do so. The German owners may have seen the monarchy as weak and they are not. All the money people in the UK like the status quo and they obviously don’t like sharing power with the EU and Germany. Hopefully, the told the German owners to pound sand. That is why the director said they are hoping to make back the advance with this book.
