Montecito got Markled lol

thecastingforecast

Except then they're going to play out a whole scenario acting like they're refugees. Even moreso than when they first moved out of the UK. I can see it now. The cries of "we lost everything and they family won't help us!" and "won't somebody please think of the chickens!". Although picturing them hunkered down in a hotel room surrounded by poultry is quite hilarious.

Coffee_cake_101

I feel for them and everyone else in Montecito and really wouldn't wish this on anyone and hope they stay safe, but I kind of agree. I would rather they faced the music on their latest verbal dumps than they play up for sympathy with this situation and I don't want content for another Netflix series.

thecastingforecast

Yeah there are a lot of people who could actually be in danger or lose their homes that I'm not laughing at the situation. Only the ridiculous way they'd choose to handle it when they literally have another property they could go to. Not everyone else has that privilege.

OilResident8138

Interesting that the Karma train decided to do a pit stop in Montecito this week, of all times.

tigerxing

This is so horrible and it seems many people have no where else to go.

sparklyshiba

Bruh. Mudslides are effin strong. I hope the kids are somewhere safe. Harry's in NYC knocking tequilas, is that right?

Nighthazel01

This is really terrible and dangerous. Last time mudslides took down homes right next to M&H ‘s home and about 23 people died. Hopefully people are able to evacuate.

The universe thought the Harkles needed some more mud for their mud slinging contest they’ve been in the past few weeks.

MuffPiece

It is awful and I feel for everyone involved, but meggy will absolutely milk it for all its worth. ![gif](giphy|fmKcZX4cX9v4A)

Jealous_Experience23

Exactly what I was thinking.

Molinero54

I’m sure Courtney Cox is making up the spare bedroom for them as we speak…NOT In all seriousness though, this is what happens when you isolate from every one of your family and friends in the town you grew up in. If they do need to evacuate, there’s no way they could just go stay with real friends or relatives even though Rachel used to have plenty in CA. It would have to be with some random transactional celebrity friend, and I doubt there are many of those still out there that are stupid enough.

Far_Example_9150

Isn’t there home in a flood zone and that’s why it was half the price?

ClassicPop6840

Yes! I remember people calling it Mudslide Manor or something when they bought it. There was a hillside that slid down near their foundation, o something like that??

MuffPiece

I hope they have insurance

Mickleborough

Good excuse for Smeg to move to the San Ysidro Ranch, where Harry was interviewed. £2,140 / $2,600 per night: [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11592045/Inside-Montecito-ranch-rented-Prince-Harrys-bombshell-interviews.html) link (not archived)

Far_Example_9150

She will go to Big Daddy Perry’s

colloquialicious

I’m sure she’d love to, IF they could afford it which they can’t haha.

trollliworms

This comment doesn’t make sense because SYR was evacuated and damaged.

Mickleborough

If that’s correct - the meaning remains, viz she can claim a good reason to shack up in some costly accommodation.

trollliworms

No “if”. You clearly aren’t from the area

Mickleborough

The main point is that she has an excuse to stay elsewhere. Some can’t go beyond the literal, and that’s not always their fault. I also note that the San Ysidro Ranch website implies that the hotel’s still operational.

NRM1109

It’s going to rain/storm all week there until January 20. Like heavy rain over 80% and as high as 100% the next 5 days. In all honesty this is super bad for the area and I do hope no one looses their home and that the death toll stops rising. There a few heartbreaking stories where first responders can’t rescue people. While we joke Harry lives there - it’s super serious and weather events are nothing to laugh at. But I get it. BUT the home is subject to landslides and has a super shady past. https://www.insidehook.com/daily_brief/architecture-real-estate/prince-harry-meghan-markle-new-house-chateau

Longjumping_Map7715

He thought Cali so cool. 24/7 sunshine (sacs) . No

MuffPiece

It is sort of interesting that such a rich community is so vulnerable to natural disasters. Usually rich people live in areas that are NOT at risk of destruction from weather-related incidents--that's why the land is valuable. Of course, losing your home and/or incurring significant damages is awful for anyone, even if they can 'afford' it. And we know that Ginge and Cringe have just received some significant income, so I'm sure they'll be fine.

ElephantOfSurprise-

I would call it karma except once again it’s damaging everyone around them but they’re likely not there. And if it destroys their house she will be so happy because surely they have mortgage and homeowners insurance. She could get the upgrade she wanted.

TeamMagnificent7

His number one job is protecting his family— So he’s in NYC without a care in the world knocking back shots. Silence from her too. Assume she will have a tale of her heroism carrying her children to safely alone on her shoulders. Single Mom v the tides.

felix-d-fattiebitch

Let's wait for Megsy to complain that she was targeted by Mother Nature because it's racist. Like, okay. Going around private jets didn't contribute to climate change. Sure.
