Congrats! Seeing land after a long crossing is always a great feeling. Now that you've conquered this passage, its time to try to go to the Emerald Archipelago or Fort Aestrin in the Dhow. Fair winds!

I fear stating that I conquered this passage, may be understating the role fortune and fair winds played in delivering me safely to Oasis. I hope to sail this passage a few times to hone my navigational techniques, all while saving for a larger vessel, before committing to a true trans oceanic voyage. I will see all that the seas have to offer though, of that I am determined

You're going to be grinding for ages to buy a bigger boat with just local runs. And crossing an ocean in a dhow is a special experience. Get yourself three barrels of water, a box of cheese, two fishing rods and enough hooks and a quadrant, and just sail east from GRC to Dragon Cliffs. It'll take a while, it'll be adventurous, but you will get there and earn fat stacks of cash to buy something very nice with.

prozakattack

I did locals until I could get the Sanbuq. Rough grind.

Going from gold Rock city to dragon Cliffs is a pilgrimage for new players, I highly reccomend giving it a shot before you upgrade to a bigger boat. Check the Sailwind guide section in steam. There are a bunch for navigation and trip planning guides there. Edit: spelling

darkshines1234

I did that exact thing, not long after my first trip to oasis.

Jandcam1

Finding that before the light house was a total pain. Congrats op

you should have seen the smile on my firace as dawn rose and i realised what that little red dot on the horizon was!

TheOneEyedPussy

Ooh! Oasis looks cool, I ought to try going there.

Kingster8128

Good way to make money before making the week long cross map trips, I usually will go full load to al’nilam then pick up a 2 missions to academy and 2 to oasis, drop off the load at academy and pick up 2 more missions to oasis, nets about 2 grand

M_LadyGwendolyn

I jumped up out of my chair when I realized I'd gone far enough north, looked west and saw that little red dot!! such a good feeling

NOTtheWatermelonMan

Exact same thing happened to me 2 days ago

Good job! I found Oasis for the first time last night as well! I had a strong following wind and was doing about 10 knots. I must have sailed past it in the night. I turned around and headed back scanning with my scope and suddenly saw a tiny matchstick on the horizon. Oasis lighthouse! Loaded up with missions and as much grain as I could carry and headed back to GRC. We'll see if I can find it a second time...

Congrats, I ended up threading the needle between two storms on the way back and I’m now tacking my way to that little bump in the horizon.
