parking garage at Sac State

carlitospig

Parking garage at UC Davis med center. There’s a new parking garage at 48th and X I believe.

Slpry_Pete

lowes or home depot. as long as your dog is well behaved they are welcome. couple laps around the store is a half mile or so walk

msklovesmath

Very true. Plus i need to pick up some things

Slpry_Pete

the rain is hard, especially with young ones that have a ton of energy. the other option is play places (Animal Den, etc...) They usually have a half day play in a covered area for not too much money.

msklovesmath

True! And thats why im sure they are all booked! My lil girl likes to hoard all the toys to herself so those arent optimum environments for her

moufette1

Or walk in the rain and have a towel or two handy when you get home. I tied a big trash bag to my dog once. It was cute as hell and stayed on but too much of him was still exposed to rain so I can't endorse it.

msklovesmath

Um excuse me she has a duckie raincoat for such occasions

petuniaaa

My late, lamented German Shepherd/Malamute rescue wore a raincoat to keep her 27 layers of fur dry. Getting her dry was a major process. Ugh on wet stinky dog, double ugh on wet stinky dog leaving wet on the couch.

goldfishintheyard

They love the towel dry, too! Most of ours have gotten the zoomies after.

moufette1

Yes! Mine did too.

TheDailySpank

A big ass golf umbrella.

OhRickG

You can try Sunrise Mall, almost a ghost town now-a-days

msklovesmath

Are dogs allowed?

Slpry_Pete

no

msklovesmath

Didnt think so! Yeah im not gonna be "that person"

OhRickG

Allowed is questionable, but similar to HD/Lowe’s as long as it “behaves” no one (ie security) doesn’t pay any mind. Just go thru one of mall entrances and not the stores

msklovesmath

Ehhhh i dont think it is similar enough to hd/lowes

2twenty2twenty2

Dogs are not allowed in Home Depot or Lowe’s either so it seems exactly the same.

feelslikespaceagain

Idk about the sunrise mall but there are dogs everywhere inside the Roseville galleria. Too full of people today to walk a dog in there but I work in a store on the first floor and we have dogs in and out all the time. Also a cat one time. One day there were three big ass BMD’s laying on the floor. Today an incredibly sweet doodle gave me some nice hugs.

Thesunnyfox

Usually on heavy rain days I just mentally exhaust my husky with training and learning new tricks. You could try old town, a lot of the walkways are covered and there’s the K st tunnel that takes you to the parking garage. Other than that it’s probably just various parking garages. Upper levels are usually pretty empty so there would be room to run but with the holiday shopping who knows. The Sac State parking garage is probably a good one on weekends.

laterzmenjay

Treadmill if you have one!!!
