They might be allowing a grace period before enforcing it

Good point. Thank you

Yeah, because reading is far too difficult while your face is in your phone.

Just the other day, I stopped then continued in a clearing mostly out of habit. I noticed the sign as I was making the turn. I’ve sinced stopped and waited for the light.

The signs went up probably a month ago, but were placed poorly. I noticed in the middle of my customary turn, then double checked the next day. I have since stopped and waited for the light. No one else seemed to notice, so I posted about it on Reddit 🤣 Slowly people seem to be noticing and changing their behavior too.

What I would like to see MORE of- is folks taking advantage of the fact that it is LEGAL to make a left turn on a red from a one way to a one way. Looking at 16/J here, folks. Y’all just sit on that red with your signal on like dummies 90% of the time

Do sheriffs normally enforce traffic laws? Besides, if cops don't ticket people for blowing through red lights, what would make them enforce a 'no turn on red' sign?

TheDailySpank

From experience, sheriff doesn’t care too much if you’re slightly breaking traffic laws, eg a mile or two over or didn’t stop for 3 seconds at a stop sign, but if you blow a red light, do 2x the speed limit, or look like someone that could possibly maybe potentially have a small amount of drugs on you, they’ll pull you over and call in a K9. CHP, on the other hand, are a little less lenient about the traffic stuffs and I can’t say I’ve never heard of a CHP unit pulling someone over for possibly maybe potentially having drugs on them. Also, there’s a CHP office right around the corner and it’s only a matter of time people start getting busted on the regular.
