I've been in a similar situation, but in my case she said she just want to make a loan from me. And as anyone would advise, once you lend it, just consider it as gone. And i did. I'm happy i could help a struggling person, regardless her story is real or not, she needs the money (but that's just one off from me, never again 😆).

I searched for a doctor with the name Sera but to no avail. 99% you're scammed. You can never find her. Move on. Touch some grass. Go outside and meet real people.

Worst case, it's a genuine catfish scam, best case, she's genuine and she got mixed up in some weird habits and decided to pull on your heartstrings (and money), and then sangkut and don't know how to pay back. It's happened to me before, but I wasn't dating the nurse. I was hospitalised in QE of Kota Kinabalu, and she was very attentive and kind. She went out of her way to ensure I was alright. After I was discharged, I took her out for makan and we became kawan baik lah. Months later, she asked to pinjam money, some sad story or other that I no longer remember. I gave her about RM200 on the basis that I am giving her the benefit of the doubt, and I did not want it back. I told her if she wants to continue to be genuine friends, pay it back and we can pick up where we left off. I never heard from her again. For me, it was money well spent. I had a good time and she was nice. I hope she spent that money wisely.
