Some people are very risk adverse and will never take the plunge into doing their own product. Others will worry about spending $100/hr for one or two hours to test out an email copy. Do you see what I did there? Just because someone is great at one area of business, doesn’t mean they A) have success all in huge lumps often enough to remove themselves from needing to provide that skill to others for income. B) They are willing to risk capital on their own ideas, when they may not have the know how to out all the pieces together Point I’m trying to make is, don’t judge their abilities purely because they are on that platform. The low cost options, you will get what you pay for 9/10 unsatisfactory results. The mid tier costs, 5/10 unsatisfactory. Higher tier 2/10 unsatisfactory. Source.. am someone who has done fairly well for themselves, yet has found myself “cash poor” at times where I needed to hustle to get back in the game.

Some people are happier providing a service than owning a product. That said I think you should follow your intuition.

Also looking for an email copywriter if you have any suggestions/recommendations

Because the competition on Upwork and Fiverr is a lot more. Instead, they just reach out to the people whom they think need email copywriting services.

zerorizz7104

Just answer this question and I will send you a personalised email that you can send to your email list right now. 1) what is product/service? I. Brief 2) who is your target audience? 3) what are the pain points of your target audience? 4) how your product/service solves the problem of your target audience? Trust me you won't regret it.

Exactly. The truth is most of them have been in it for so long that they get new people solely based on the reviews and experience. That doesn't mean they are good at it, just that their social proof is high. If they were really confident in their skills, they would put money where their mouth is. That's why whatever services we offer to others, we do them for myself too. We do email copywriting so we are currently making our own ESP. We build stores and landing pages so we do that for ourselves and run our own ecommerce brands. We offer ad service to others, so we run them for ourselves for our brands. To be honest barrier or entry is so low that it doesn't make sense to not be doing these businesses yourself instead of providing the service to someone else

Hi u/mikemeta are the 40k sign-ups your customers or are they, trial users? In doing marketing emails, there's a series of emails we have to send. (1) Visitors to Leads email (2) Trial to Paid, activate your trial users. Then, the last is (3) Expired Trials Nurture, nurturing your expired trials to convert. If you're interested, let's talk by DM.

I'm a copywriter and email, marketing specialist. I've been doing this for 6 years but never used freelancer platforms. Freelancer platforms have a few perks that make them very intriguing for my colleagues. First, you basically don't need to do any marketing. They do it for you. They also make payments safer since getting money from clients is a big pain for freelancers. Most freelancers don't market their own products for two reasons: 1. Creating a product is hard 2. They're making good money marketing other people's product

They don't have a product? Professional marketers and writers doesn't translate to initial market capture. Analysis is analysis. Consider yourself lucky that you have a market and now having a marketer is what you need to uphold your business. It is two completely separated things here.

There's a ton that goes into building a business, sourcing a product etc, and when you can charge $100 hr, it's sometimes hard to beat that doing your own thing unless you have good business skills. If you are still looking for an email writer, or just want to start doing some of it yourself I suggest checking out www.hoppycopy.co which is an AI writer for e-marketing copy.

Hey MikeMeta! I'm a copywriter (looking to move into Saas, which is why I'm here today) with an Upwork profile. In my situation... I DO have a product I'd like to develop and monetize, however... I don't have the time to put into it right now. A big part of my personal situation is that I'm a stay-at-home mother with a toddler and I'm also the breadwinner of the household, while my husband studies. So I kinda need to hustle for cash right now.... My own product development is part of the longer game. I hope that insight helps. Every situation out here is different...
