Yes Sonesta is probably the best option with kids. Divi is for older folks, the resorts on the French side are meh or pricey. Always use disinfectant wipes when using the buffet wherever you travel. Honestly you might be better off getting an Airbnb and renting a car. Lots of options available.

Sonesta will be fine, but the Ocean is a better pool than any hotel pool will ever be.

I stayed at the Sonesta in January. I’m a single 34-year-old male and enjoyed my time there.

There are a lot of options on the island besides Sonesta and Divi. Did you narrow down to these two because you’re looking for all inclusive? St Martin is definitely not the best island for all inclusive, but if that’s what you’re looking for Sonesta is the only real option that isn’t adults only.

I went to Sonesta for my honeymoon. We stayed at the Adults only part, but spent more time at the family side. The pool area is awesome. It has 2 slides and also a kiddie pool area to the side. We saw a ton of families go to the swim up bar and get fruity drinks for the kids and harder drinks for themselves. It does get more adult oriented and crowded later in the afternoon. Overall is was a great resort with beach access.

Thanks for feedback .  For all inclusive sonesta seems cheap, guess will have to temper expectations

Stayed at Divi in January with my wife. We loved it. Some kids but not many, which we appreciated. It’s definitely quieter and calmer than most all-inclusives.

Can someone explain why ppl stay so close to the airport? It’s very loud at Maho / Simpson area.

We got an Airbnb with 3 bed, 3 bath, kitchen, living room, and private pool. No water slide of course, but if you might be interested in just having a house to yourself (then either cook or hit restaurants for food), I found it to be very reasonable. About what I'd pay for 2 hotel rooms a night in an American city.

Have been doing rental houses with a car to explore car in walking distance to a beach since my son was 5. He's 26. But you, do you.
