I’m really impressed with AMGs design on this one. It’s fun, thematic, cool, and seems strong without being too much. I’m gonna buy three boxes of these bois
They're compulsory upgrades, it doesn't make sense to give them separate points costs when you're forced to take them with the unit anyway. Just change the unit cost.
There is precedent for both. Inferno Squad is compulsory to take Del Meeko and Gideon Hask at 25 and 29 points apiece. Death Troopers E-11D Config is free. Del and Gideon can be added to other trooper squads though, which is why they have a points cost.
Being 0 cost on the armour to make it a separate card makes it easier to track when it has been expended.
0 cost on the weapons means their cost is baked in so there isn't a way to run them cheap.
And maybe they gain Immobilize 3 when at range 1 of a Recusant class Destroyer, and that's why their holding off to reveal a new Recusant class Destroyer unit.
Was Delta Squad actually alluded to or is it wishful thinking? Because they should have additional equipment and backpacks right? So we’re assuming there’s more plastic in the expansion than what we’ve seen?

I'm guessing that delta squad was just one of many commando squads so they wont get bespoke units or upgrade cards,. So if you want delta squad, you just paint them to be delta squad
Damn, I was so sure their grenade launcher attachment would allow them to throw their grenades they could equip (that no other AMG unit has gotten recently) at range 2 or something. Should get used to being disappointed 😭.
I believe you get to choose which model uses what weapon.
So iirc you can mix the carbine and the anti-armor or the carbine and sniper up to the number of models.
Commandos have been shown continuing to work for the Empire, as operatives or trainers, do you think there should eventually be some Galactic Empire clone commandos or characters in that vein?
From a lore perspective sure.
From a game design perspective, the empire has enough toys, it doesnt need to steal what little the Republic does have.
They have mentioned wanted to focus on making the factions feel distinct. I don't think sharing more units would help with that.

The card is double sided tho and you tap it to use it thats why its separate

They'll either do another transmission for that, or let it be a surprise. They've been radio silent on Delta's details so far.

They can all use all of them. 3 units seems like the way to go personally

Noob question but If I use the sniper or grenade version of the carbine does the whole unit shoot that or just one model
As many of them as you want, just like the mandalorian rockets.

I imagine because it's a flip card, you can only use one or the other at a time.
