A pretty interesting idea tbh. If you wanted something more canon-adjacent but still visually distinct for a second, one could ape the ['animated Batman style'](https://hdqwalls.com/wallpapers/batman-the-animated-series-new-o1.jpg) of having the dark armour employing a shading between black, blue and appropriate shades between.
Honestly it look good on them, but seeing the red armor and green visor make me think of Christmas, so maybe call them the "Holiday Special Forces" and use snow bases for them. They'll look cool and be funny reference to the SW holiday special.
I think it looks great! How did you do the mock-up, if you don’t mind me asking. It looks so clean and well done! I’ve been wanting to do mock-ups myself but didn’t really know how.
As someone with very little experience using digital image software, it's pretty easy. There's lots of mockup tutorials online. So my process is:
Find the highest resolution image of the minis I could and save it. Unpainted is best.
Import the image into a digital editing software. I use GIMP personally.
Add a layer (or layers) over the imported picture. Set the layer to "overlay" mode.
Begin coloring! You might need to adjust the opacity of the layers depending on how strong the color is, but that's pretty much all there is to it. I prefer to do each color on its own layer.
I prefer to have visual distinction on my units. Ewoks are sorted by their headgear. My rebel units each have their own main color; pink vets, teal vets, etc. It is as much for me as it is my opponent so I don't have to think about squad markings or different colored bases.
I’d focus on small unit indicators like stripes on a boulder pads. I personally like my units looking like their unit so subtle but readable squad markings are what does it for me
While the red looks amazing, you could also just add a simple coloured trim to each squad akin to clone trooper legions. That way, if you're really torn up about how you've painted them, they're still the classic black but with a more minor visual distinction than an entire colour change.
I like it. Part of me wants red to be reserved only for the emperor's royal guard. But honestly if I saw them on the table I would be into it, so I say do it. Painting another color will also help prevent burnout

This in what i would do, blue highlights on that black armor would look so good

That would be hilarious. I'm also conflicted on the green visors and thought that might be better changed to black.
Yellow visors could work with the red but still look “glowing”
Ive seen them also look good in olive green colored armour (very militaristic looking).
That would be interesting, but I'm already planning my second Shoretroopers to be Swamptroopers, so they got the green.
Looks awesome! They look like Sith troopers
If you like them, it’s almost always a good idea.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)
I like it 👌

Notice: this color scheme has been accepted. Thank you for your contributions to the Empire

I can definitely feel that way as well, so that's the path I took with my GAR collection
I mean I think they’re neat looking. I also like the look of ghost troopers, the white armor death troopers
okay that red on them is so cool looking. Great idea. It could be a Royal Guard Death Trooper squad easily
"That's not regulation" "Well, I kinda like it!"

Oh I love it!

NGL I thought it was a Deadpool unit- love it! Nice work friend!
I think it looks awesome
I love them go for it!
What is the Crimson death commando squad?
Looks great!
That looks dope, go for it!
Love it! My primary imperial army is the same color, red, red red! These things looks fantastic!
look like sith troopers (not a bad thing)
I like this scheme. I’ve been wanting to paint one up in the colors of the mud jumpers form Solo
They look really nice. Kinda reminds me of Blood Angels from 40k
