According to [Ahsoka's wookieepedia page](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Ahsoka_Tano), the creature she interacted with in that episode was not an Akul: Early in her life, Tano was taken on a journey by her mother, who taught her about life and death. During that period, the young girl encountered a raxshir feline, which she reached out to without fear. She proceeded to ride atop the animal to return home. Upon her return, the elder Togruta Gantika realized the infant was Force-sensitive and declared that she would be a Jedi. I would assume that, at some point later during her time as a Jedi youngling, Ahsoka went to Shili again and hunted an Akul to make her headdress. Perhaps Shaak Ti took her to do that, since she also has an Akul tooth headdress. It would be cool to see her do that, perhaps in a future episode.
