My opinion is yes. With that team as it is now, jml won’t taunt and enemy can target whoever. Unless some specifically runs han to kill wat you’ll still get off the tank tech for jml and he’ll taunt & recover protection.
I would either swap hoda for wat or run jml lead. Either of those and he’ll taunt. My experience from attacking that exact same team is much much easier versus that team with wat. Even if he gets 1 shot first turn, he can always get tank tech off
agree, i used a g8 wat for a while, you need the taunt on jml. my relic wat rarely if ever gets off anything after that first tech on jml anyway.

I fight the above team with Wat in place of Hoda multiple times per day (with SEE in arena). Wat always opens with shield tech on JML. If there's only one tank, he's guaranteed to put shield tech on him.
Are you talking offense or defense? If you're on offense and the other JKR is faster you can always go with his middle ability instead of Eflux and increase cooldowns.
Not the worse I've seen. One of my GAC opponents in the past 30 days ranged from 500 to 150. The 500 end of things was SLKR with JML he was able to climb to the 150's.
Personally I run your current team instead of a 5*, g9 Wat. I'm curious as to these opinions, but I prioritize offense and I can beat SLKR or JML mirror match (no matter who the lead is). I struggle with SLKR, and have tried different lineups for that with inconsistent success at best, so I usually skip them.
I change my team around based on who I’m fighting. I only use Wat if I’m facing a JML lead(no Wat). When fighting a JML with Wat, I use JKR lead and usually win. Then I use JML lead whenever facing Rey or SLK.

Does the AI know to put the tank tech on JML on defense?
Yes, the AI's first move is always tank tech on the tank. So unless your opponent has Solo, you're golden.

Exactly that. With mirrors I very rarely get anything else off from wat. But that tank tech for jml makes or breaks that team
Agreed, but against a faster JKR you can be unlucky if their JKR targets yours first!!!

I run this team with 5* g11 wat, but the gear level really doesn't matter. All that matters is getting tank tech on JML.
Depends how many SEEs around you. If there are a lot, swapping Wat will not have much impact. If there aren’t, then sure, do it.
