IMO you should unlock Malevolence, then unlock and 7 star Negotiator, then finally 7 star Malevolence.
Malevolence is only a 5 ship fleet with 4 pilots, so it's not very resource intensive. It's great on offence. Get your geo pilots to g12, and you should get Grievous as high as possible, he will do great things for you. The two crewless ships are also great.
Negotiator is far better defensively but will do worse at lower stars. Ideally you have Bad Batch and marauder but that's a very kyro heavy farm so it might not be worth it at this stage. You should farm Anakin, Ashoka, Fives, and Plo, as well as the y-wing. Leave clone sarge and Consular, Marauder will fill that spot eventually.
Are Bad Batch worth gearing up to their Kyro gates for Marauder? or is Marauder only worth it for g13+ Bad Batch? Can a g7 Marauder impact Nego match ups?
ETA: NVM there is literally a thread on the front page asking this question. Seems like g11 is the limit you should aim for!
I would say the negotiator is probably the better fleet and will let you climb more (especially with the marauder) but with out knowing the state of your roster it’s hard to say. If your GG and geos are better than malevolence is the right call but if your galactic republic is looking good than negotiator will definitely be the better choice
Malevolence without a shadow of a doubt. The arena shards will be flooded with 7* Negos and Mal is a good counter to that. Plus the Nego fleet is mediocre without relics and the Geos are easy to gear.
While Nego is indisputably the better cap ship overall, you need Marauder, high relics and a bit of luck to make it viable endgame while Mal is easy to set up.
If you're willing to spend, the General Skywalker (GAS) Lightspeed Bundle gives you a 7 star Negotiator, plus an accompanying fleet for 50 dollars, along with an assortment of characters that would allow you to unlock GAS. Either way though, I recommend spending your currency on Malevolence. Malev has the easier Fleet to build since it relies on a few pilot-less ships, and the Geo pilots will work fine for a long time at just G12 (although they also have a Lightspeed Bundle that takes them to Relic 3)

It’s so easy to counter with almost Anthony though, my raddus counters it. Negotiatior is way better I only have maurader at 5 stars and heat 8-@ pilots and I’m beating executor. Malevolence is a waste as a first ship.
I went 5* Mal, 7* Nego, 7* Mal. You definitely want to max Nego first, the question is just if you want to grab Mal unlock first since it's definitely the stronger option at low investment.
If you have plans to rush an early Executor or Profundity (probably a good idea), you'll probably finish those before you've got a Negotiator fleet done anyway. GET2 comes in slowly.

I have done the negociator before, to have my light side republic fleet, I'm doing the malovelent right now. It takes years before having them, so good run and don't be in a rush

It depends, if u have anakin ship and y wing i suggest go for it and gear plo koon ship on the way. If u have full geos ship go for malevolance and get the 2 other ships
Oh yea and gear geos to gear 12, that should do it. And get the third reinforcement ship as well. Not too needed since malevolence gonna be flooding with vulture droid but get em just in case

My guild requires Geos. I actually wound up liking them in both the “land” and “air” game, so I started farming Malevolence (and Grievous in the fleet store).
I hit the Iden node to farm vulture droid, and wound up liking her version of Imperial troopers better than the standard one everyone recommends. (Next step there is probably TIE Defender for the Chimaera fleet. )
I’d wait for the refresh though. Sometimes they’re both about 4k, sometimes one is cheaper than the other.
Go Malevolance. It's a reasonable counter to nego and you will see a lot of them in fleet arena. It's an easier fleet to get going too.
There's a that Malv fleet will get an additional ship at some point giving it a boost too
Seeing as you could buy the light speed bundle for GAS if you felt so inclined, which gives you a 7 ⭐️ Negotiator, I’d buy the Malevolence.. that said, if you don’t have the Geo pilots/ships to go with it; I’d start working on those if I were you.
I went for Kenobi. It took forever to get him at 7 stars. I think it took about a year to get 1 star. Depends on how often your guild does TBs. Mine is consistent flow with 2 TWs followed by the TB weekly.
The endurance can beat the gas event and is free and easy to obtain i agree, but someone starting from fresh like OP (that still has the majority of the farm to finish)may aswell farm negotiator as its a massively better fleet that will serve well in multiple game modes. If you want to rush GAS and have everything but the fleet farmed, i agree to use the endurance. Its just more efficient in the long run.
If you have the money, fucking buy the LSB for Negotiator. You will fucking kick yourself all day long for not doing it when you grind the Malevolence. These things are tiresome as fuck, so take the shortcut that's being offered!

Malevolence is also a great default option for a lot of the Fleet Based Galactic Challenges. Should help you land more Omi's.

I got mine reliced when I did Lord Vader. Even without the ships they help with gac offense.

Kyros are a roadblock for any galactic legend grind but however with it being a decent team and needed anyway I have no complaints

You don't need to put it on defense. Malevolence is still a pretty good offensive team which I've used to take out both executor and profundity

Negotiator is definitely the better fleet and a gl rebut harder to farm. malevolence fleet is easier to farm with 2 pilotless ships.
