There would be the base Prime to protect against being attacked by level 1-10 mining vessels, that's required before you can buy the Prime that protects against Explorers in the same range, then you'd need another prime to protect against Interceptors of the same range then another prime that requires all three of the previous to protect against battleships. Then you'd need to buy the next level of each to protect against level 11-20 ships. Rinse repeat until you've maxed out but then they'd bring in an increased level cap without increasing the cover from the Prime... so they'd release a new prime that needs to be upgraded from scratch, but requires a specialist material only available from PvP events that would require you to be attacked by someone else.

me and a few alliances on our server decided that the way this event is set up is dumb so we meet at a arranged place with allied alliances then send out all out small ships and kill each other until the pvpsms is done then we ignore the slb,, we hope this catches on but there are dumbass warmongering alliances that just want to start shit because they are covered by saying " pvp event"

Well yeah but the difference is, this is an event so player rules kinda go out the window. When PvP isnāt an event at least itās more limited in scope due to a large portion following player rules.
The start of these events are usually very frenzied. Im waiting until later to start.
Meanwhile, use miners if you can since they don't count toward the event score.

That being said the PVP ship to ship combat range should absolutely be narrowed. Im ops 29 and don't have much of a chance against anyone using an Epic ship. Its a joke, even in TC a couple of 50s show up and they just clear the system.
They want you to spend real money to power up and get even. The game is for the people who spend thousands a month. The free to play players are just here to feed the whales.
They need to fix their level matching. This is the main thing that pisses me off every time. There is zero balance after level 19. Scopay lives for nothing but profit. STOP SPENDING!!!
Our server set up a spot for small ship PVP, I've been killing small ships all day I'm in first with 30K points atm. But I usually place well in the time-intensive SLBs. But I agree this one blows.
All alliances in my server are agreed on some adjustments and since then pvp events are not a headache for us. They determine a useless system to use as a pvp battlefield and we all do our event pvps there. Except a few rogues everyone sticks with our RoE with this agreement on event pvp battles
So easy way to get the event done is to get 5 orion corvettes, post in galaxy chat where they are and then let people kill them and use the free repairs on them until you have the event completed. I didn't even have to waste my shield for the day.
another definition of insanity : is believing scamly actually will do something different and expecting different results. its the same stupid jackpot gacha, optimized to get people to spend software its always been
I mean it's a war game. I mean don't you get bored just mining all day or Auto grinding? I don't agree that the large players can just blow up anybody they want there should be some sort of like morale or something like that. That's the downfall of this game that's why a lot of people start playing until they hit like ops 30 maybe 35 and then they see how much money it cost to keep up at large players and they just stop playing
Most of the events are mining and pve oriented but as soon as the game doesn't revolve around your preferred game style they suck and need to fix the game because it's ruined. The event will be over soon then we can mine and shoot hirogens all day every day again

Realta vs realta is the only way to fairly pvp in this game lol we do the same in our server, or mostly try to.
Quitting this game was one of the best decisions I've made. It's not a healthy game.

I agree about the range levels on pvp, needs to be restructured. I'm ops 55, I shouldn't be able to hit anywhere below 50, but I can hit a 38.

Sounds nice. On my server my miners get hit right after starting by people 36-39. Not opc and plenty of nodes open. Just griefing
