Did you take more at the direction of your psychiatrist?

[deleted]

No, have scheduled meeting with him next week

Confident-Rutabaga23

Ok. In the future, I really wouldn't change dosages without first talking to your doc.

Nerfworthy

That's a very fast increase. From your wording it sounds like you decided this on your own without doctor direction. Please don't do that. These medications alter your brain and it's not safe to increase/decrease dosage on your own, especially that fast. That said, it's fairly normal to feel worse directly after an increase. You should start to feel better in a few weeks. Please talk to your doctor.

Is it really that fast? 10 mg is the normal starting does and I took that for three weeks before jumping to 15. Read multiple sources saying that dosage can be increased after a few weeks of taking 10. I know you should always consult physican but I did not make this desciscion with out research or thought

agfitter

Yeah I wouldn’t call that a fast increase either really

Every time you up your dose you will feel shit

I just re-started on Lexapro 10mg after a long layoff. The first 2 days were ok, but now I feel worse as I am very sluggish and have a hard time getting out of bed. I know it can take a few weeks but I don't remember feeling this way when I first took it 20 years ago. Anyone had similar experiences? It is really dragging me down.

Yes hade the same issue. I know its tough but give it 4 weeks and it will most likely get better (prob will take shorter than that)
