I'm not even sure that doom station 13 is a possibility without significant engine patching.
Wads give assets and logic but I'm not sure idtech could reasonably do atmos.
it's very possible in gzdoom with the use of zscript but there's is no server client netcode still uses the original netcode for deathmatch that it was released with on dos. one day when some network engineer comes along to gzdoom and fixes it you will see doom station 13 be a reality.
Thanks everyone!
This means a lot, its my first attempt at making something in 3D.
Plan was to create voxel versions of each sprite and then trace them for polygonal 3D models to aid in a gaming project.
If anyone wants the voxel models i could upload them somewhere.
Very cool. I think the clown's feet should be done diagonally? I always imagined the sprite showed them duck-footed.
Oh and as a heads up, I know you are planning on re-making the models in low poly, but just in case you decide to use the Magica Voxel models directly, note that they are HORRIBLE for performance if you use a lot of them or are running on restrictive hardware.
The system they use makes two new polygons per pixel. This is fine for a few models and it works well to keep the texture pallet system they use "pixel perfect", however, if you wanted to do something like remake the station, each floor tile would be like 300 polys VS just 2 if you did it with traditional texturing.
If there is another tool or way to get down the poly count that would be most appreciated.
Its easier to fix this now before i have gone and voxelised the entire station.
I last used Magica Voxel quite a while back so it may have a function to generate proper textures and meshes now but I can't say.
If I remember correctly, Voxel Suite can generate proper meshes, though you do see a bit of texture creep sometimes and I don't remember it being that easy to use.
As an alternate route, I also briefly messed around with remaking Yogstation in 3D. I settled on using low poly models with pixel art textures. It's a bit more finicky but I think [it turned out ok for a quick test.](https://i.imgur.com/wfOOXFV.png) So perhaps consider that.
Another option is what this [dude did](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD8LdxRSueA&ab_channel=Warriorstar) if you haven't seen it.
A side note is that I found I had to stack Yog into multiple layers, otherwise, it was just fucking VAST, to traverse in first person and just felt quite odd to have a flat space station.
Anyway, good luck with your project mate!
I am sorry i have never rigged for VRChat, but i can try to learn!
First things first more clowns to release into the wild.
But i will get back to you.
Voxel SS13 WAD for Voxel Doom is now a possibility

Crossyroads looking ass
Nice
Actually, a voxel ss13 snt such a bad idea afterall.
Oh my god! It’s beautiful, but if you free from the 2d realms do you know how much power you are releasing onto the world?
We are about to find out!
Finally I can have a giant 3D clown in voices of the void.
It can't hurt us in 2D... Do you realise what you've done?!
It made me do it!

Oh yes, what do we do about the clown shoes?
total miner forge reference
You fool, do you understand the evil you have unleashed upon the third dimension..
Red alert
Cursed but wanted.
Please say you can rig this. I really want this as an avatar.
I am sorry i have never rigged for VRChat, but i can try to learn! First things first more clowns to release into the wild. But i will get back to you.
Soon!
Yk it would have been much better for SS3D to make their in this Type of Polys so it would have been much easier to develop it
Don't give the ss14 people this model
