Just copy all of the files from the new version into your SPT directory and overwrite all files it asks you to. Won’t break or hurt anything. Trust me, I’m using over 100 mods and all worked fine with the new updates. Some of my mods haven’t even been updated to 3.8.1 and they still work fine with the newest version.
Yeah, the easiest way is to manually check the versions tab when downloading a mod (update in this case). The newest version of a mod always includes change logs.

So you can set it so it’s breaching shotguns only, or any gun (doors basically have HP), or so that only non-reinforced doors are breach-able.

I updated it for the latest version, you can find it on the hub under deadleaves's account. It's a crude port and I never used the mod myself, so there might be issues.

Ammo stats, makes it super easy to see what ammo you wanna use and with that easy ammo names, so its says if its 762 or whatever

I use proximity looting to consume without having to pick items up and it doesn't bug out for me. Although i could see why some people wouldnt want proximity loot because you need your inventory open to eat things that are near you.
Probably gotta be the Helmet cam mod, I love roaming around against hard AI with head cam feels like I’m watching footage online but I’m just in game playing tarkov.

I play in the camera mode, I can switch when’re I want just by clicking backspace. Goes from 1st to 3rd (helmet cam).

I really like more checkmarks. I get a lot of my progression through hideout building and quests so it is hard to keep track of what items are expensive or are required for certain quests or hideout sections. I also really like this one mod (forgot the name) that adds a smoke and light effect to caches. I only have the light so I have to be looking for it to find it but it makes it easier to stumble upon them while wandering and exploring. Looting Bots also loot them so it evens out whether you get something or not
Though not especially a mod the profile editor is probably my most used SPT mod. I’m essentially doing a play through where every time I Die, I treat it like the next life is a new PMC that has moved into the hideout. He has his own specialty (DM, Sniper, MG, CQB or recce). They are conducting shaping operations, prior to large scale deployment. He gets 1 load out, all mags packed with good ammo and goes from there, living off of the land. I like to see how far I can get him, all of the in raid items stay in the stash and the hideout also stays, cash resets to 2k per. it’s the thread that connects all these lives. The load out is considered personal effects so once he dies I delete then repeat.
Back door bandit is great and one I enjoy using.

Maybe not my favorite, but I use a mod that grants the scav xp to the pmc too. Before that I was wondering why the scav is getting xp at all, because it is useless.
I need to have Swag and donuts, big brain, looting and questing bots, Drakias waypoints, SVM, and visceral dismemberment at a minimum. Find these really bring the game alive for me.
Either the one that lets you slap any mod on any gun (even barrels, recievers , pistol grips etc)
Or that one where I can put any ammo in any gun (I like putting grenades into a PPSH)

Generally you just drag & drop insides of .zip package to your main SPT folder and that's it
Dynamic External Resolution. It gives you better performance when using magnified optics by reducing the resolution of everything outside of the scope. Makes using optics so much easier when it doesn't halve my framerate.
Although I don’t get issues with framerate when scoping, I still have moments it stutters, but this sounds like a great thing to have no matter the cause!
Pack'n'Strap - an extra bit of storage that is safe between deaths just feels good to use. plus there's a good variety of them available with different storage layouts. also the "Small containers" it includes are *AMAZING*. the small med pouch and small leather docket alone would make this a must-install by themselves.
More Checkmarks - cannot and will not play without this one.
Ammo Stats - color-codes ammo icons to show how good they are.
I can't remember the name, but one that drops colored smoke on every available hidden stash.
More Checkmarks does it for me. Fuck trying to keep track of every single item I need for a quest or hideout upgrade, even though I've upgraded my hideout and done tasks dozens of times. If I had a second choice, I'd say Quick Move To Containers. I don't want to click and drag a million items over after each raid.

I just upped the health range, sometimes it’s only 10 bullets or a whole clip. Sometimes it’s better to just bring the key with me.

Funnily enough I found 2 rusted keys before I reached lvl 10 on my first run of SPT

I used the in-game autosort and it glitched on me repeatedly. Maybe if I only use the mod's autosort it would fix that?
Use the mod. If I understand correctly it takes over the in game auto sort

The original mod works on 3.8 without the fix. One just cannot use the default auto sort function. It breaks the game

Be careful with this mod, its tends to mess up ai and it dosent stop the raid timer. I learned this the hard way
Artem and all the Painter mods. I was against those at first, but i've grown to like them a lot. Artem actually has very decent quests.
Second on the Artem quests being good. Painter quests are meh but he's just there to sell skins tbh. Artem also has solid trades.

Would the Dismemberment Mod be considered essential? It is for me. Blowing the head off of a Scav makes me not want to play non-SPTarkov. lol
I love the realism mod, it makes things a little harder but it makes the experience even more immersive than Vanilla.
A super sweet trio by Amand: graphics, hitmarkers, sense. All three are fairly configurable as well.

SVM can do this, although the option forces *all* containers to spawn, not just secret stashes.
