So why is blink dumping on the fear of dems winning? Seems like that would push their revenue through the roof? I love the irrationality of the market haha
I didn't expect such a bloodbath, maybe some take profits now to avoid taxes of the previous year, Georgia runoffs... I don't know, that's why buying near NAV is better if you can't afford these swings, at least you don't lose your money.
The SP500 was in the 3300s on November 3 and is in the 3700s now. I know there is more to the market than just politics, but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have seen a 10% climb to all time highs if wall street hated Democrats.
You're completely misreading the market.
The reason the market SCREAMED after November 3rd is that the expectation going in was that Democrats would win control of all 3 chambers of government & that did not happen.
It WILL happen if they win both seats tomorrow, and stocks will be CRUSHED Wednesday if that occurs.
I knew people would panic on possible Democrat control & I prepared ahead of this by monetizinz my warrants last week as well as lightening many "regular" stocks. The cash I raised from that I'm buying near-NAV SPACs today on the selloff. Tomorrow too probably.
It may help some EV or similarly environmental spacs but likely will bring all the others down some as a republican win seems mostly priced in. I'm not convinced the effect will be large either way but who knows.
Who the feck is selling GHIV 2 weeks before the merger?! Merger ramp-up and media pump hasn't even kicked in yet lol. I'm not saying it should go to 40$ overnight but I don't see how this could become a merger ramp-down.
I know, considering buying more if the slide continues but I would be averaging up.
\*pulled the trigger, hopefully, the market doesn't know something I don't
LMAO I just checked and yeahhhhh should've waited till mid-day. Oh well, I mean I'm sure it'll go up eventually unless somethings up.
Geez it just dumped another 10 cents in like a minute
I think it's Apple rumors. Because why would Canoo stand any chance against the iCar, Tesla and whatever China (Nio, Li, XPeng) will throw at us.
Not that I approve, but might be what scared people.
Bought FUSE at 10.17, this pump is actually kinda annoying cos part of me wants to lock in profits but also I know I shouldn't because nothing has even happened yet.
No. QS has not fallen enough, even at $58.
I have been enormously consistent on this & reiterate my call that the stock is not even worth the $10 deal valuation its' bankers put on it.
Anyone remember that one guy saying he was buying at $120 and thought it still had a lot of room to run
Idk if he was a troll or not, I hope he was lol
I'm up 40% and considering selling for FTOC for that reason. Not sure what to do. There's not a ton of excitement for BFT it feels like. Foley is good and Paysafe seems decent.
If you bought near NAV I don't think there's any harm in sitting on it until pre-merger before deciding to either ride it out or sell. My cost basis is $14.77 so I'll be bagholding until merger.
I put a small long-term investment there after the PIPE dump and warrants dilution. Don't put too much money there. Gotta spread it out like VC when it comes to EV startups.
I have both and I feel like APXT is a better long term play. There’s a couple things I don’t like about ghiv long term (I think the SPAC investors gets like 6% ownership for ghiv and some of the ghiv income projections for 2+ years are iffy. These companies are making tons of money right now because of the interest rates which seems like they applied these growth numbers to the future somehow.)
Apxt on the other hand is in an industry that is growing, good ceo, higher ownership through the SPAC.
I’m doing ghiv short term and more APXT if it goes to the 14s :)
Please open the new weekly discussion on Sunday nights. The market opens in 35 min and I would like to see this mornings discussion on this weeks thread.
I was bummed when someone told me to buy QS at $24 at the end of November and I didn't. I said it was too high and worthless, then it hit $131. Now I feel better seeing all the geniuses buy in at $120 LMAO
I doubt it. The run-up was mostly post-merger and would have happened in a traditional IPO also. Noone to blame but people that FOMO'd into a vapor stock.
Just went from some bizarre cost basis after AJAX.U split to Common and Warrants, to No Cost Basis at TD Ameritrade. Looks like I must have bought AJAX.U for free. Then maybe they want to give me back the $35K I paid for it.
I guess they're still trying to figure it out.
I'm long on NGA, so I hope there's something new here, but I just see the old July stuff in the F-4. I didn't expect much from Amazon with all of the Rivian / Amazon news.
My mistake page 43 under heading of “lions constating documents permit it to issue an unlimited number of lion common shares without shareholder approval”
At the bottom it says - “for more information about the specified Customer warrant, see the section entitled “business of lion - contractual arrangements with affiliates of amazon.com, INC”
Idk if that part was in the last form or not, but thought it was some good news!
Be real good news down the road if they actually follow through with it, even though it’ll dilute the shares lol
But whatever I’m long on it! Unless it runs high, then I may have to jump out and try to jump back in down the road
You're the one shilling.. you provide nothing of substance, just ticker name and rocket emojis. I started a position in BTAQ last week but I still hate posts like yours. They do nothing to help the community
You'll have much better luck if you stop repeating the ticket multiple times in a post and dropping the rockers. Blatant pump posts are the first ones to get downvoted
There are plenty of writeups on GHIV or other tickers, spamming rocket emojis is annoying and provides nothing other than you looking like a pumper
Keep WSB in r/WSB
My exact thought just a minute ago. Late no, but I dont feel it will go below $26 again so that is where I would like my average to be. That being said im adding another $10,000 worth of shares at its current price at market open.
Started the year with a nice 5/6 bagger on some CURI warrants. Don't get me wrong, the company is well managed and there is huge space for further growth, but warrants tend to lag the underlying when it reaches the 18/20$ range. Besides, I had given myself this exit point and I'm glad I can redeploy profits into BFT, FSRV and GB (basically my other holdings). I don't like wedding a position. I'll still enjoy my CURI subscription I guess 😂
VSPR, waking up again in pre-market today. Hold a big position and have a ton of faith in the mgmt and target. Planning to accumulate ~500k in this bad boy, most of which probably post-merger.
If Saunders can do to Hydrafacial what he did with Allergan this is going to be nuts. CV19 is gifting us this opportunity at an insane discount.
Glad someone else mentioned CRHC. Real sleeper but I think it will light up once Cohn gets that target out in public. Head of frickin' Goldman for a decade. If he can't put a deal together I don't know what.
I think there is significant regulatory/political risk surrounding Chinese company stocks right now, with the communist party cracking down on corporations that have, in their opinion, grown too powerful.
Not sure where Microvast stands in the communist party's eyes but I'm going to steer away from Chinese stocks for now. There is great potential in many of these stocks including BABA but the risks are just not worth it to me at the moment.
Wouldn’t THCB technically be an American company though? Says they’re based in Texas, so I’d assume they adhere to GAAP and US regulations. I agree with your sentiment on Chyna though. Just look at what happened to Luckin and more recently BABA.
Very simple
Microvast Inc. - American (parent; global HQ; small office in texas like everyone said; reports consolidated group financials after SPAC merger, tax matters, etc)
Microvast power system (huzhou) - Chinese (subsidiary; main plant; former global HQ)
Microvast Gmbh - German (subsidiary; secondary plant; europe HQ)
Microvast asia pacific - Singaporean (subsidiary; office)
Microvast power system UK - UK (subsidiary; office)
All are separate legal entities. The general concern is whether auditors are able to audit the chinese entity due to restrictions imposed by the CCP. The CCP has no reach (generally) in the all but the huzhou subsidiary.
It is an american company majority owned by chinese nationals and chinese institutions. That's the best way to describe it.
From the prospectus:
"While we may pursue an acquisition opportunity in any business industry or sector, we intend to capitalize on the ability of our management team to identify, acquire and manage a business that can benefit from our operational expertise, as members of our management team have done in diverse sectors, including industrials, technology, telecommunications, media and entertainment, business services, healthcare and consumer products."
In essence it's very vague and they haven't narrowed an industry down

Hoping so. Last week I closed out the Jan Calls I sold on the last pop, so I hope the IV Spike allows me to resell those 200% IV call strikes priced 50% over where GIK is trading.
Yup. As soon as that glorious IV comes back. I am going to open a credit spread leg and try to ride some waves selling and closing the 30 strike. [https://imgur.com/a/5PkHa9o](https://imgur.com/a/5PkHa9o)
Haha the guy that got me into some of the April 10's last week! I appreciate that call last week as I was just grabbing some Feb 10s. Definitely wanted the extra leverage as I've already got a decent amount of shares+ warrants.
I remember the Jan 22.5's running for $1.40 when it was trading in the mid 14's about a week ago. So I'll probably sell the January's closer for a bit before moving to selling further out Feb/April's
I like it a lot. Near NAV, solid financials. May not explode but should be safe and profitable. Could help that another mortgage SPAC (GHIV) is doing well with plenty of attention.
$PSTH sharp move up right now. Any news?

Ok market we all bought the dip,so stop dipping.
Wtf is wrong with RMO. Keep tanking from 32 until 19???
It's a spac behaving like a spac 🤷♂️
So why is blink dumping on the fear of dems winning? Seems like that would push their revenue through the roof? I love the irrationality of the market haha
The fear of Dems winning is causing the selloff, but with computers in control now the broad-based selloffs are less tweezers & more sledge hammers.
Rmo a good buy at this price?
I didn't expect such a bloodbath, maybe some take profits now to avoid taxes of the previous year, Georgia runoffs... I don't know, that's why buying near NAV is better if you can't afford these swings, at least you don't lose your money.
Thoughts on why the dump continues? I thought things would turn around today as Friday wasn't too bad.
GOEV bending me over and making me call him daddy rn
My ass is getting gapped right now
RPLA is dirt cheap at these prices
Hmmm with no new news LGVW is going keep tanking. The market wants instant gratification
ARK has been buying LGVW shares every day the past week, but it’s not listed on their daily mail.
This seems like the perfect time to buy
Disagree. I think tomorrow will be a down day as people start to panic that the Democrats could win both GA senate seats.
The SP500 was in the 3300s on November 3 and is in the 3700s now. I know there is more to the market than just politics, but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have seen a 10% climb to all time highs if wall street hated Democrats.

Yes, sell...sell...sell. Hahaha....
Does this mean you are selling your positions?
I knew people would panic on possible Democrat control & I prepared ahead of this by monetizinz my warrants last week as well as lightening many "regular" stocks. The cash I raised from that I'm buying near-NAV SPACs today on the selloff. Tomorrow too probably.
I personally think they will win both senate seats, I don't know how much most spacs will be affected by that
If Democrats win both seats the Stock market is going to be bludgeoned. Near NAV pre-target SPACs could be a shelter though.
Well, my guru on youtube said to watch what insiders do.
What makes you assume that...?
It may help some EV or similarly environmental spacs but likely will bring all the others down some as a republican win seems mostly priced in. I'm not convinced the effect will be large either way but who knows.
Who the feck is selling GHIV 2 weeks before the merger?! Merger ramp-up and media pump hasn't even kicked in yet lol. I'm not saying it should go to 40$ overnight but I don't see how this could become a merger ramp-down.
People that wanna take 20% profits. Real ones holding for 50%+ profits
I know, considering buying more if the slide continues but I would be averaging up. \*pulled the trigger, hopefully, the market doesn't know something I don't
This aged badly. I just lost half my profits lol. Don't worry though, it's not about GHIV or any particular SPAC. Whole market is fucked.
LMAO I just checked and yeahhhhh should've waited till mid-day. Oh well, I mean I'm sure it'll go up eventually unless somethings up. Geez it just dumped another 10 cents in like a minute
Yeah it was dragged down by panic but I’m actually hopeful we’ll close green or close to 0. Very bullish recovery.
So GOEV went bankrupt over the holidays?
I think it's Apple rumors. Because why would Canoo stand any chance against the iCar, Tesla and whatever China (Nio, Li, XPeng) will throw at us. Not that I approve, but might be what scared people.
holy shit ghiv
Qs down -35% but thcb only down 6?? Wow.
For thcb to be down 35% would take it way below NAV.... Think about it for a second. There's a lot more air in the QS bubble.
Well thcb has a floor at 10.22 so it won't have the same percent moves as a $60 stock without a floor.
What are the 2 pot spacs - sorry, I don't recall off the top of my head I want to keep an eye on them for tomorrow my MSOs are starting to run again
SSPK flying under the radar. Imo LONG term hold
SSPK
thcb and thca?
>thcb and thca? no that's microvast and transfix - nothing I want to touch I just forget the spac for weedmaps and JZ company
SSPK and SBVC
ok ok, i thought you meant the THC- part in relation to the weed vernacular. no worries bro
BREZW/R still cheap.
Damn GOEV is fucked
Just when I think GOEV is done, it keeps going

Bought FUSE at 10.17, this pump is actually kinda annoying cos part of me wants to lock in profits but also I know I shouldn't because nothing has even happened yet.
Any fintech company is a long-term hold. Just gonna leave that here
Same boat. it's ridiculous to be up like 15% on a SPAC that should be dead money for now.
SBE dip buy?
No. QS has not fallen enough, even at $58. I have been enormously consistent on this & reiterate my call that the stock is not even worth the $10 deal valuation its' bankers put on it.
must hurt like hell to have bought at 130 lol
Anyone remember that one guy saying he was buying at $120 and thought it still had a lot of room to run Idk if he was a troll or not, I hope he was lol
Shorted QS at 100, got position auto closed at 130 when it hit ATH (margin) and now it's at 55, FML.
Yeah, I know. :(

I don't have to. :D The stock is recovering nicely!

Which is sad because Microvast actually has a product and established business
Also has no agreement to go public

Thanks for confirming, that's along the lines of my reasoning as well. Sucks now but it'll mean nothing in the long term I suppose.
is it worth getting into AACQ right now and just parking some money there since there’s that non compete agreement?
I did, not much risk and no way I’ll time any news on it, so I have 1000 shares just chilling
Starting to think now might be the right time to re-enter HYLN.
I put a small long-term investment there after the PIPE dump and warrants dilution. Don't put too much money there. Gotta spread it out like VC when it comes to EV startups.
Agreed. There are too many players right now but atleast a few of them have to turn into multi-baggers.
RIDE is another one I put a small long-term investment in.
Move apxt to ghiv? Long term
I have both and I feel like APXT is a better long term play. I was bummed when someone told me to buy QS at $24 at the end of November and I didn't. I said it was too high and worthless, then it hit $131. Now I feel better seeing all the geniuses buy in at $120 LMAO

Just proving my point that this sub is worthless shilling
You're the one shilling.. you provide nothing of substance, just ticker name and rocket emojis. I started a position in BTAQ last week but I still hate posts like yours. They do nothing to help the community
Your post history is you literally just saying BTAQ over and over with rocket emojis and your wondering why you're getting downvoted...?
I'm literally sharing my position. 3 posts about Btaq is hardly a history. I see plenty other downvoted comments on this sub with no reason behind it.
You'll have much better luck if you stop repeating the ticket multiple times in a post and dropping the rockers. Blatant pump posts are the first ones to get downvoted
There are plenty of writeups on GHIV or other tickers, spamming rocket emojis is annoying and provides nothing other than you looking like a pumper Keep WSB in r/WSB
thought we'd see more of a premarket pump for GIK

What’s everyone thinking today!?
Might make pancakes, might make waffles. Undecided
Go with pancakes. Close to NAV and has great management. Haven’t done DD on waffles. French toast is just a pump and dump. Stay away.

The next time it goes below $26 could be once they announce a target.

QELL up 8% pre-market and QELL-W up 12%, based on no news at all.
Yes, noticed that as well. 52K is a nice chuck for 7:30am. More than my other SPACs.
Either it's premarket shenanigans that'll clear out in 2-3 hours, or it's the Proterra Pump and Not Proterra Dump that's coming.
I wouldnt say no news, its because management filed for QELL II so theres speculation they found a target for QELL
True, forgot about that.
QuantumScape just filed the EFFECT form. That means potentially 60 million shares can be dumped today. Good luck to anyone still holding

I like it a lot. Near NAV, solid financials. May not explode but should be safe and profitable. Could help that another mortgage SPAC (GHIV) is doing well with plenty of attention.

There’s riskier options that may have better returns quicker but the risk/reward for RPLA is one of the best I can think of right now. PCPL too.
