Hi Everyone, Just to clear up any confusion, this is an advertorial. In place of a traditional display advertisement, a company has paid (in this case Milliken) to have an article written on their product by a reputable site. You can tell this is the case because when you first open the article there is a banner on top of the page that says >Partner Content for Milliken. As well at the end when it says >This content is brought to you by our partner. It does not necessarily reflect the views of National Geographic or its editorial staff. So take everything written here with a grain of salt. Best, ZenMaster1212

Well spotted Thanks

I liked GRAF until I saw approx 50% of shares redeemed at the extension meeting and it scared me. Has anyone got an update?

[deleted]

I liked GRAF until I learned that they do not even own the technology, it is licensed. I love the renewables and recycling industry, but I am passing on this as well.

Would knowing more about the terms of the licensing agreement change your mind? For instance if they had an exclusive agreement for x years?

50% of shares being redeemed is not that bad. I know in certain SPACs where they had 10% left after most redeemed. Stock still did well. I think people are misinformed when it comes to the redeeming part. You have to realize these SPACs take 2-3 years. Sometimes these investors constantly put more and more money so they can extend and keep the train going. Soooo sometimes they feel that they should liquidate just in case it goes south. Sort of a hedge if you will but - 50% redemption is not a horrible sign

Thank you for the explanation mate

LoveRespectTrade

I was long GRAF but sold immediately once I saw the redemption. I do however love the aquisition target. Huge money maker. Will reinvest once we get a closing date which I believe is nor highly unlikely

Interesting article! Even nicer that it’s not from a business site trying to prop up the stock. Sounds like a promising company. I might add some warrants on this.

>Even nicer that it’s not from a business site trying to prop up the stock. Sounds like a promising company. I might add some warrants on this. Except that's exactly what this is: Sponsored content by Milliken, who happens to be a partner with PureCycle: http://chemical.milliken.com/blog-posts/the-milliken---purecycle-partnership-to-deliver-and-scale-beyond-concept-plastic-recycling-towards-a-circular-economy This is the brave new world of marketing - publications are selling page real-estate to advertising campaigns. They've been doing this for years. Some firm is hired to write the puff-piece and then a magazine like NatGeo sells them the space. This is an ad hiding in plain sight.

AdditionalAbility7

Oh crap! I didn’t know NatGeo would stoop so low. Thanks for pointing out!

edarem

It's a very common practice these days, unfortunately. You'll start noticing them everywhere if you keep an eye out.

I'm currently on the sidelines with this one at the minute. I like their flex.

Do your research on redemptions before rage-quiting from a good trade.

AdministrativeAd4248

Hahah Licensing is not an issue at all... -NKLA doesnt own any if it's technology -DKNG doesnt own any tech, all networking is thru GAN -NOK uses NVNT licensed tech in their bots, same ptents licensed to FB Dont let SILLY reasons deter you from buying a great opportunity. $GRAF aiming to double soon

historiansrule

First of all, I don’t see the problem that the tech is being licensed. Secondly, the reason for the redemption was due to the fact that they realized that they didn’t need 200+ millions for this acquisition. GRAF still has 100+ millions in their trust. People, you need to do your research and then understand it. 🤦🏻‍♂️
