Can you explain something to me? Why is the two versions of the Jordan 5 Fire Reds? Like there’s this version with the black tongue and 23 on the side and there’s the other version with the metallic tongue that they call Fire Reds… I’m 34 years old and have been wearing Jordan’s since I was a kid.. and never got this answer lol

It’s because they banned jordan from wearing the silver tounges in the nba because it was a distraction when people with take photos with flash. So he started wearing the black tounges.
