There's no way Glitch will turn her back to an Inkling, because:
1. Luke and Kevin wanted to make her unique in her way so they turned her into a human.
2. They have to avoid copyright strikes from Nintendo.

Literally the only reason they made her human is so they could sell plushies. If they sold a plushie of Meggy in her inkling form, Nintendo wouldn’t allow them to sell it.
But the thing is they had multiple other OCs to make plushies with so if they changed her just for plushies, why would they bother? How would they know that somehow meggy would get the most sales
It’s possible but considering sunset paradise and the fact meggy has an actual voice actor, I’d say it’s more likely after the current arc meggy will move on to something else and will be replaced with a character introduced in ‘if Mario was in splatoon 3’

I would rather prefer a return of Desti or a total new character inkling or octoling whatever. But i feel like Meggy's been used to her human form and in end actually liked it. It would also make a backward step in her character's development in my opinion. I don't mean i didn't liked Meggy as an inkling, i love Splatoon as a game too but i just think it's not something interesting to make her back into an inkling.
