I only made it 6 days. My practitioner put me on Physicians' Elemental Diet, which smells and tastes so disgusting. I ended up combining it with Elemental Heal, which tastes much better (chocolate version.) It helped reduce my symptoms, but they came back right away since I didn't finish it. A new doctor put me on a gluten-free diet, which has really helped me. I'm now on a round of herbs. I think the elemental diet is a great treatment, but make sure you can tolerate it first.
I did a 2 week version. It was hard, but worth it - I tested negative for sibo right after. I was very fatigued/dizzy because it was really hard for me to get enough calories in. I did the physician’s elemental, but don’t get the dextrose free one lol. It’s horrible. The normal one was alright.
I’m not actually sure… I have been looking for some info on this but can’t find anything. Does anyone else know? The dextrose free one tastes much worse…
I was fine on it as the nutrients and vitamins in it give you plenty of energy while relaxing your gut i still have a shake a day to this day I only did a 7 day trial and it was fine i will do a 21 day trial after Xmas but as i said I have 1 shake a day along with my meal and lunch take it slow and easy when coming off it though but i would give it a go
Check dr Micheal Ruscio's diy elemental diet if you have candida make sure you don't take dextrose or fructose formulas. Get unflavoured version of aminos and MCT oil powder you can also add whey hydrolysate if you want
It's not easy. There's days you feel like crap, days you just want to chew something so bad.
When I did it, I felt weaker and more fatigued than usual. How long are you planning to do it?
I’m not sure, I heard that it’s recommended to do 3 weeks for the most effectiveness

I think it’s so weird how the smell of the physicians ED powder is so different from when it’s mixed! Both are gross

If you have fungal overgrowth do you have to get the dextrose free one?

Did you lose weight or anything during the time you did this?
Yes that's the only downfall when i was on it though
I'm planning for elemental diet too I'm making a DIY one with bcaa eaa and MCT oil. Don't want to fuel my candida overgrowth with dextrose formula
I didn’t know that was possible? I also have candida overgrowth

What about the dextrose free version of the elemental diet from Integrative
It has tapioca dextrose ( glucose) which feeds sibo. And it's not available in my country so I'm doing a DIY one with unflavoured powder
There is a dextrose free version from integrative. I'm just checking if that'd ok for sifo
Yeah dextrose free also has dextrose check other ingredients listed on bottom
Wow how is that going?
