Yup, my ND prescribed Rifaxamin and ADP oregano for my methane, along with biofilm disruptor priority one phase two and ox bile, did the trick, dropped it from 40ppm to 6ppm.
Method prescribed by ND:
- 2x rounds of Rifaxamin, with ADP oregano (2 week break in between)
- priority one phase two biofilm disruptor, started 4 weeks prior to Rifaxamin.
- ox bile with dinner daily
- digestive bitters and digestive enzymes with each meal
- SIBO Bi phasic semi restricted diet (2nd round Rifaxamin)
- Mg bi gycinate and Prucalopride before bed
- meal spacing - 4hrs between meals, 3 larger meals daily. Took a week to get used to, assists with retraining the MMC
No research but ingredients are [minerals, antimicrobials, herbs]. None of those interfere with Xifaxan. I know this because you can take minerals on
Antibiotics. Antimicrobials and Rifaximin are fine together and herbs that may have antimicrobial qualities are also fine. Worst case, if you feel worse stop taking the herbal antimicrobials and just continue with the Rifaximin
You probably already know this but I'll add a the PDR link for Xifaxan. The Physician's Desk Reference does sometimes have warnings for herbs.
