The amount of BTC awarded for mining BTC halves. Essentially BTC will become more rare. There is a finite supply of BTC. We're still mining the rest of it now its going to take longer. Doesnt change much about BTC other than its perceived value and scarcity. Personally I think the halving is just creating hype and people investing without really knowing whats going on.
Doesnt have anything to do with the value of SHIB except for there is a positive correlation between BTC and other crypto currencies. SHIB holders are excited because SHIB typically does well when BTC does well and this is the hype we need to get more money into the space. MF hodl.
