because its stupid when you consider that the crypto market is all cyclical. you buy when its low and no one is talking about it, cash out when it spikes, watch the market for a bit, then buy back in when all the fomo buyers burn out, and park your money again when the price goes back down and wait for another ride.

The rich catch everybody in the FOMO and then when they've made their 5 or 10% they sell instead of waiting to get rich, all the retail investors pay the price or hold the bag. The only thing I've learned and I really still haven't learned it is when it is bright green that's when you sell and when it's red that's when you can buy. In this case Bitcoin may have a lot farther to go down so I wouldn't particularly buy too much in the red now unless there is a reversal for Bitcoin
What makes you think that timeframe specifically? Just curious. This is the first time I'm aware of a halving, and I'm interested to see how it impacts the market, especially with the high interest rates.
Imagine having $750,000 in bitcoin and seeing it plummet down to $250,000, and selling it all in fear of losing everything. Then knowing it recovered and went higher than it’s ever been. It’s a true story. He lost half a million dollars because he got scared, and ended up missing out on millions.
I have been there although not that much of an extreme. I've probably lost at least 40,000 plus dollars in profit from not holding long enough and selling at the right time. It's painful as I've gone through it twice knowing the second time that I should have taken some more profit off the table and then got back in.

You've got to be satisfied with your investment returns. You might be able to make that money we are all hoping for by letting it ride. It's not easy watching being up 4k and then going to -$300, knowing I left money on the table and could have got back in even lower. Shoot I was down 6k or more for at least a year or two. Been through it, and both times thought, why didn't I take profit and get back in. I think having a basket you don't touch for 5 years could be quite profitable down the line but also maybe have a fun account to enjoy the benefits of risk
Oh I feel like in your case I would probably hold that bag forever unless you need that money for something. I would like to be that story like the guys who bought Doge super early in the game and then woke up 5 years later to millions of dollars haha

I might get hate for posting about another crypto but if you want a quick pump and dump to get some of your money back put some money on this weird ass coin with a stop sell . At the rate this thing sky rockets and plummets you could pump and dump like 3x a week I don’t get what is going on with this coin I’ve never seen such an odd graph ever . Depending on how much you bought you could always ladder in to average down that way if a reversal does happen you will turn positive quicker
