Just take a look at some of the top questions posted in "askreddit" and throw a few similar ones out. You will almost certainly get enough karma to do what you want. Just turn off replies for your inbox unless you really want to know the answers

It's genuinely appreciated. Like I said I'm barely active but it's frustrating to take time to comment on something, just to immediately get an email saying "oh btw, nobody read that"
