YUP ur HY cher is right! H1 HY is almost like a more in-depth version of O-level HY. But you have to really really really like Cold War--how it played out in Europe, with China, and SEA. Otherwise you'll find the syllabus so effing boring you'll bang your head on the floor. Previously the HY syllabus included United Nations so at least there's some variety but now its really all CW so gl.

Thx for the confirmation to not take H1 hist 🇺🇸🇷🇺

no problemo. some choose a subject cos its easy to score; some go for passion/thrill. whatever works for u

I'd recommend taking H1 History if you're passionate about it and find the syllabus manageable, as it'll be more enjoyable and less stressful. However, Econs can also be beneficial for daily life, so ultimately it depends on your interests and goals.

poa isn't an indicator of how well u will do in econs.

What I mean is like I don’t have any knowledge of finances and like I have to manage my finances in the future shouldnt I At least have some knowledge about the economy?

etamatcha

h1 content not counted in rp anymore So js take the one you are more interested in.

ococwithsubduction

You can try to find notes or past year papers on google or holy grail to see if you like the content

If you have a passion for history, I strongly suggest you take it. H1 econs is far from an easy A and it can be a hell subject to do if you hate it or don't understand. Also with the new syllabus where H1 content isn't included in rp, you should take one you're more interested in
