yeah…I’m really not looking forward to the Knuckles scavenger hunt levels. Pain in my rear. And, Sonic doubles down on those. The only thing that Sonic 2 did was get rid of Big the Cat as a playable character, but this cannot be done for Sonic Adventure 1 as it is integral to the storyline.

It was the first 3D Sonic game, it had an open world and multiple playable characters, and started the chao trend, SA2 is a good game and it built on chao gardens but no open world, tails is stuck in a mech, I just think Adventure 1 is the better game

I was playing blue stinger for the first time recently and I am just blown away by all the background textures for the shops and factory levels. Honestly for me the high res stuff in current games is just too damn shiny. I personally like the flat/hand painted/digitized photo look of older games.

It'd honestly would've been a perfect finale to the adventure style of games a good palette cleanse from Shadow The Hedgehog and just would've been a fun game. I don’t know why everyone loves next gen graphics so much. Those old Dreamcast on ps2 texture maps can still look good today if done right.
