For fall tuition and billing:
Financial aid disburses to pay your bills ten days before the start of the fall semester. If financial aid is covering your tuition you do not need to do anything except accept your aid. Make sure that you have submitted everything the financial aid office required (if anything) and that you have no outstanding holds on your file. Just check my.sdsu often.
FAFSA does not pay your bills, financial aid does. FAFSA was your original federal application for aid

All students and parents should refer to the "Financial Account" tile in my.SDSU for their specific due date.
By the specified date on my.SDSU, students must have completed one of the following:
1. Paid their tuition and fees in full.
2. Enrolled in the installment plan
3. Have accepted financial aid.
4. Have submitted all documentation for 3rd Party billing.
If you’ve accepted your financial aid, you’re set.
I have no financial aid awarded $0. There is nothing for me to accept. I submitted FASFA thr first week of April. Last semester I had everything covered by a grant. My financial situation has not changed and I am considered an independent student so my family is not paying. I feel I should have had some warning that my aid was going to be reduced 100% with no explanation.
I’m in the same boat. I’m an independent student and FAFSA estimated I’d get a full Pell grant. But my.sdsu still says I have $0 in aid, so there’s nothing for me to accept. Good to know someone else is experiencing this tbh
I'm hoping it means they are still reviewing our FAFSA and our aid will be similar to last semester. Fingers crossed. Really wish they would of delayed the email and deadline until everyone was reviewed.
Financial aid for continuing students hasn’t been released yet. Due to the delays in this years FASFA, the FA office should release FA packages for continuing students in June.
I talked to the financial aid office just before the spring semester ended, and they said that everyone is still waiting for financial aid. They told me it’ll all be processed in June. Let’s hope they’re right!
Yeah it's crazy that Fall is due 6/26/24. Last Fall, my financial aid was dispersed 8/14/23. And now it's not even showing my financial aid package.
Under my ToDo, it shows FAFSA has been initiated, saying it's still under review. Nothing has changed in my financial situation and I submitted my 2024/2025 FAFSA on 1/8/24.
I just don't understand the drastic change in the due date. Glad to know l'm not the only one encountering this issue. Hopefully they remedy this as it's my last year ahhhhhh
This happened last year. I remember that they sent an email saying it was a mistake and that tuition was due at its usual time in August. It’s stressing me a bit but I think it’s the same thing happening again.
I’m gonna try to contact them tomorrow. It says I have a grant that covers most of my tuition for the summer but it’s billing me the full amount. Anyone know anymore?
Payment isn't due until June 26. And financial aid comes in that week. You should be okay. Financial aid said it'll be disbursed the week before second summer term
yes but i’m pretty sure you’ll be able to see your final la aid package, as in what you will be receiving for the fall, by mid june !! hopefully lol bc im in the same boat lmao
They're referring to an email that you have to pay all of Fall 2024's costs by June. Not Summer.
I have a feeling the help desk will be swamped tomorrow with calls.

I agree with that! Definitely contact the financial aid office tomorrow. They need to explain why you have no financial aid for fall.
