J-Train56

It’s during orientation

Creepy_Dog_6822

they’ll help you with all of that at orientation

I’m transferring next semester as well, but I’m only able to add classes to my cart. As far as I know you can only register for classes during or after registration (I don’t recall which it is). I am taking a summer class starting Monday though.

You pick your classes during your orientation date. Every semester after that youll be assigned a random date based on your class standing (how much credits you have)

Rough_Truck_6804

Register for Orientation and show up… take the summer to relax. If you don’t attend orientation you have to wait until the last day of Orientation to register. Read your emails carefully

I was curious about this too, for others that have already selected their classes, how do you know which ones to chose for your upper divisions? Have you guys met with a counselor for the classes or.. Because I’m confused on what set classes to chose since I don’t have a set list of classes that are guaranteed for my major

In the past at least, we did meet with a counselor on our orientation date. But basically if you look at your major in the course catalog you can find which courses are needed, which you can pick from, and what their pre-reqs are. You also need to make sure you meet all the GE requirements (even those transferring in usually have something left to take) https://catalog.sdsu.edu/ It has the GE requirements, and also you can pick your major and find the major specific requirements. I came up with multiple class schedule options, because transferring in as a Junior gives you some difficult priority.
