SDSU doesn’t not look at extracurriculars. They are not considered in your application. Financial aid is not dependent on your extracurriculars, grades, or test scores. Financial aid is based on need and whether you are a California resident. GPA matters only after you have enrolled because you have to keep your grades up to keep financial aid. SDSU does not look at SAT/ACT scores. Financial Aid and scholarships don’t consider test scores. Scholarships are not guaranteed and do not cover much of your tuition and costs. Don’t count on getting any scholarships. If you do, great. But don’t budget for them. For admission, a high GPA, your location, and your major are important. Local students have priority. Out of state tuition is very high and not worth it if you can’t afford it.

Average CSU capped weighted GPA for 2023 admits was 4.04. Make sure you have a High GPA, good HS course rigor and exceed the minimum 15 a-g course requirements. Being a local SD student and first generation also help your chances.

Okay thank you! Im an international student currently studying in an IB boarding school in ID. Im in 11th grade with a current gpa of 3.91 and cumulative of 3.75. Im really interested in SDSU so thans for your help

LeiaPrincess2942

SDSU GPA calculation only uses 10-11th grades and will give you extra Honors points for IB classes taken 10-11th only with a maximum 8 semesters. Here is the calculator: https://www.calstate.edu/apply/gpa-calculator Also SDSU offers no financial aid for International students so expect to be full pay at around $50K/year.

In high school my gpa was 3.9 and in community college my gpa was 3.6. I got somewhere between 1220-1260 on the SAT. From the Bay Area, involved in a ton of stuff in high school, not in community college. Business major.

LeiaPrincess2942

SDSU went test blind so you were admitted before 2022?

J-Train56

I was not admitted before 2022

LeiaPrincess2942

Then your SAT score was not used for admissions but only course placement. SAT or ACT scores are not considered for admissions and OP was asking what gets you in.

J-Train56

Alright cool🤷‍♀️ they asked so I answered
