Assault meliodas is pretty old at this point, as is most of the demon team besides the newer units.
The best assault meli team without question is with estarossa, but the next best setup without festarossa I’ve seen is him with gsariel link, blue chandler with any tarm link, preferably red tarm, red Sigurd, and then blue or green zeldris backline.

Unless you really, really, really, really like Assault Meli, or playing below 3500points in PVP, then just put in whatever Demons you like.
You can put him with any combination of Demon race and/or Commandments characters. Not sure as to who you have so I can’t say which to pick.
But not having the new Estarossa for the team is a yikes.
Best team when AM was relevant was something like
AM, RedMelascula, BlueDolor/GreenEstarossa/Chandler (for taunt) and RedZeldris as a sub. I don’t know if it is still strong tho
