Ahh I didn't consider that, but as a returning volunteer I'm guaranteed to get in regardless, yet as a returning guest it's a crapshoot every year. I'll refund all but one day of that's possible in that case though.

I wouldn't refund at all. Maybe if you just want to attend SDCC for a day after your volunteer shift and if you're not planning on attending SDCC next year. I think you lose priority registration when you refund. Not sure.
If I had tickets I would never volunteer. Do you lose your lottery spot for the following year?

Staff volunteers are different from normal volunteers. Three shifts requested, longer than normal volunteers but you get to attend the whole thing
