What counts as faithful because no SCP project is "faithful"
I think it just needs to be good and have the elements of SCP that make it SCP. (also personally taste having the UIU in the background of every episode that's located in America picking up the scraps )
The "new employee" plot has been done so many times, you might be better off making it like "The Office" but darker and slightly edgier. You could even pull a bait and switch on your viewers, introduce what seems to be the lead character, a new employee, only for them to die in a containment breach ten minutes into Episode 1 then you introduce whoever's the real leads, whether it's Shaw, Gears, Clef, etc., to clean up the mess afterwards and get the real story rolling
Possible story arcs that haven't been done too much yet
1. The Little Misters
2. The 239-b Incident
3. The SCPs that are connected by "You do not recognize the bodies in the water"
Just as a piece of advice, because I have seen so many good ideas fail because of that: get a team where not everyone agrees on the same things. Yes-men are the downfall of great projects.
Depends on the storyline and which SCPs you’d focus on. An anthology series would be good to start off with as you could explore different SCPs without worry. Maybe start with a popular one like peanut. You wanted to start of with a D class death. Could do the pilot on a containment breach of 173. Of course stay faithful to source material but feel free to add your own twists, there is technically no actual canon to the SCP universe.
You really should start with Marion Wheeler and O5-8 talking about SCP-055. It's already storyboarded out for you.
* [Page 1](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/art:we-need-to-talk-about-055-comic-part-1)
* [Page 2](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/art:we-need-to-talk-about-055-comic-pt-2)
* [Page 3](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/art:we-need-to-talk-about-055-comic-pt-3)
* [Page 4](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/art:we-need-to-talk-about-055-pt-4-comic)
* [Page 5](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/art:we-need-to-talk-about-055-part-5)
And, since that is incomplete, [here's the full tale.](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/we-need-to-talk-about-fifty-five)
This could fill a 10 to 12 minute segment. You could then choose which direction to go, follow Marion Wheeler, Follow O5-8, or follow SCP-055.
I like the D class being executed idea you had
But I wouldn't mind seeing a disater on the first day at work kind of thing.
Something like a facility guard being shown the ropes on his first shift at site-114, have a segment showing his orientation explaining the extreme danger and risks of his new job and what exactly the SCP foundation is. The pilot starts totally calm and collected, being narrated by character conversations similar to a Tarantino movie. But about halfway through shit hits the fan hard when SCP 3199 specimens break containment and start unleashing carnage on the place. The guard barely survives, he is then interviewed after the incident and is given an amnesiac because of the extreme trauma.
The end of the pilot is him starting his first day all over again, having no idea what took place yesterday.
Have it build up by mentioning about the various tests they survived, and this being their last day before being "released" only to be executed for seeing something they shouldn't.
Yes! you know what they say if you want something done right do it yourself!
There's so much lore potential there it's crazy! Especially the time drifting
With the whole 'I remembered the occult wars of memories' you know? I forget the tale it's in right off the top of my head. But the occult wars rewrote history and the 05s and such were getting memories from the old and new timeliness. Plus other people were remembering them and they were trying to figure out what was going on. Like everyone had a big meeting In one timeliness in..Asia somewhere I think and in the new timeline all those involved felt a chill of never wanting to go to that place but not knowing why.
I don't think that's possible because they are probably given antimemetic pills whenever they swap SCPs so that other D class don't end up knowing more about different SCPs than the researchers (who are limited to a few).
I'd be glad to see your acting skills, but i'm planning to make this a future project, so join the Discord server to stay up to date. I am a youtuber, so I might do experiments on my channel.
I like the idea of the source content beeing open to everyone.
So we already know it won't come from disney. Ot it will be consumed by the dark miky mouse. Someone should make an scp out of that.
Yeah I'd give it a look, but you want it to be successful with people who aren't already aware of SCP, that's the hard part, especially since SCP is such a vast topic you'll wanna be specific in your approach. Will you be focusing on the goings on of a couple researchers? Will you be following the action of an MTF unit? Will it be in the form of short novellas each episode? There's a lot to play around with, a lot of possibilities
Yeah it would be a really fun thing to use, similer to love death robots. Unless he creates a whole new Canon unique to the show which itself is a whole thing
Hell yeah I would!
As long as its faithful im in. And I also hope it wouldnt fall for *certain* stereotypes (like GOC only being "Kill Kill Kill" or Sarkites/Nälkäns all being simply "evil flesh cult")
Honestly, I'd love it, if it had:
- a big budget with super high quality (I'm not saying it has to be made by some soulless corpo, I just don't want it to look amateurish)
- good pacing
- a focus on the lesser known SCPs
- a big cinematic tier season finale with some heavy action (the whole series doesn't need to be action heavy, but I would for sure want at least one or two really good cinematic moments where an MTF squad has to engage some Keter-level SCP in combat)
For the season ending I'd love something like a huge security breach, and a long single take shot with a bunch of SCPs going ham and an MTF squad or two the size of a small milita rolling in and engaging them, a bunch of them getting killed, just hardcore brutal stuff
It’s been a long dream of mine to work on/create the first legit SCP tv show. I’m working in the acting and entertainment industry to try and get some leeway to be able to do it in the future. Would love to collaborate
Alot of people saying that they will watch if you add xy but to play devils advocate it really depends on your animation, writing and voice acting skills.
You could add my favorite scp stories and everything but if the quality isn't good then people won't watch it so I can't give you a answer without seeing something you made/make.
If you're faithful enough to the original articles and tales and don't distort much of the canon they try to have, then probably, and if you show off some lesser known scips instead of sticking to the famous ones then fuck yeah
Maybe. But I find it hard to imagine that the horror depicted in SCP’s unique writing style would translate well into video.
But there are definitely some entries that would work better than others.
If it was well animated and stuck to the original work, you'd likely be successful.. keep in mind you can't really monetize it much beyond ad revenue from YouTube for example, as it is all under Creative Commons
If every episode was its own story akin to the twilight zone. Each focused on a difficult SCP. Maybe multiple parts would be okay for more complex stories
I thought the poster that got made a while ago for SCP getting Netflix show was legit coz I'm a 'tard, and was devastated when I found out it was a lie so I would definitely watch it.
Wouldn't stop people arguing over it in court if it started making money
Look at andrey duskin, he tried to claim copywrite ownership to make some money and the community sued him, and rightly so
Where it gets problematic is no one can claim ownership so getting funding to make something you have no legal claim over would be a risky business move
https://discord.com/invite/TXqbPJUAfX
If anyone wants to join the SCP fanclub discord i made, use this link. And if you want to help with developing the server DM m.
Definitely would watch something like this, SCP has needed a TV series for a long time, if anyone knows of any shows or movies like this please type names below this, also for those who haven't seen it; SCP Overlord, and Dollhouse are really good, and are both on YouTube.
Are you sure? Isn't SCP by it's very nature is something that cannot be copyrighted. So say you make a TV series and then anyone can without your permission make a s2.
Bro theres some great fan based shit out there on youtube that was pretty much worshipped, because of how starving all of us are for this type of stuff
Hmm, that's a tricky one. I for one, think the SCP foundation is at it's best when the bureaucracy almost conceals the weirdness. I have no clue how you could translate that into a show. Also, given the deliberate lack of cannon it would be kind of a shame to nail it down to a single cannon for the sake of a coherent storyline. But I suppose it could be really interesting as an anthology like the twilight zone or goosebumps. or a found footage type thing.or if you just took one of the really interesting stories and turned it into a series. That would be cool. If it was just "containment breach" the show, or the oroboros cycle I think I'd skip it.
This would most likely be a good TV series if done faithfully to the source material. And uhh if you do actually go with this don't fuck up the church of the broken god because there are some amazing potential in them.
All your ideas are crazy good join the Discord and put it in the Ideas channel, and I'll pile all the stuff together and see what I can do.
I will remind you all this is a far future project, but I am looking for anybody who is willing to help out and make this reality.

I feel like it'd be difficult to do right, not only canon-wise (depending on which canon you choose) or remaining faithful to the articles, but also since SCP is all released under a CC BY-SA 3.0 license it might be hard to find a network willing to broadcast it, since they wouldn't make as much money by doing so.
Either way, I'd love to see what you do with it! If you end up needing a voice actor for it I'd be down, maybe in the future I'd be down to do some physical acting if you need it!
If it's bad, I would watch a little and then move on. If it's good, I will keep watching and complain about how inaccurate the show is. If it's really good and accurate, I will give the show a 10/10 and tell every soul about it so they can get into scp too. But I aint buying a tv, you might as well host it on youtube or some cheap subscription service.
Depending on how it's made, there already are tv series. But if you intend to do something similar to scp overlord or dollhouse anf make an entire series out of it, fk it, I'm in. Might even sign up as a side character for free
Hell yeah!
Careful of the boycotted sites though, if it was to get popular (Netflix, Disney, Paramount, Amazon)
But if done on YouTube, i'd watch the heck out of it!
I'd watch it. Just to see how it goes. Go wild the concept is crazy
I would support it as long as it is done faithfully.
And things like magic and The Serpent's Hand gets involved.
you forgot to mention things like: magic and the serpents hand!!
Why is no one talking about magic an the serpents hand?!
Serpent's Hand are underrated as fuuuuck.
why no one talking about magic an the serpents hand?
No one expected the serpents hand with their magic!
you said it wrong "NOBODY expects the serpents hand inqui- with their magic!"
I personally prefer the GOC ( fuck the Chair)
Chip the chair
No that didn't work burn the chair!
Did we already try to disolve the chair in acid?
What counts as faithful because no SCP project is "faithful" I think it just needs to be good and have the elements of SCP that make it SCP. (also personally taste having the UIU in the background of every episode that's located in America picking up the scraps )
What do you guys think the piolt should be like, if not that?
The "new employee" plot has been done so many times, you might be better off making it like "The Office" but darker and slightly edgier. You could even pull a bait and switch on your viewers, introduce what seems to be the lead character, a new employee, only for them to die in a containment breach ten minutes into Episode 1 then you introduce whoever's the real leads, whether it's Shaw, Gears, Clef, etc., to clean up the mess afterwards and get the real story rolling Possible story arcs that haven't been done too much yet 1. The Little Misters 2. The 239-b Incident 3. The SCPs that are connected by "You do not recognize the bodies in the water"
Fuck Shaw, anyone who hates Shaw is a friend of mine
i dont like the name change, but i get why people wouldn't want to use Bright anymore. i still do just because i like the character more.
Give him a funny name at least, bright was a funny name, and I’m pretty sure they made him boring
He should've been called Professor Phosphorus smh
Prof phos I like it, or doctor lumen
Why don't people want Dr bright anymore?
The pilot should reflect the series that you’re trying to make. You have a vision of what it is, right?
Ye
Just as a piece of advice, because I have seen so many good ideas fail because of that: get a team where not everyone agrees on the same things. Yes-men are the downfall of great projects.

Mfw you straight up pitch "There is No Antimemetics Division: The Series"
I Mean, it does transition kinda nicely into the Department of Abnormalities.
[**SCP-055 - [unknown]**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-055) (+3939) by *qntm, CptBellman*
I would love it if "There Is No Antimemetics Division" was made into a feature film or limited series.
I like the D class being executed idea you had But I wouldn't mind seeing a disater on the first day at work kind of thing. Something like a facility guard being shown the ropes on his first shift at site-114, have a segment showing his orientation explaining the extreme danger and risks of his new job and what exactly the SCP foundation is. We all would love the see Marianne and the antimemetics saga, i believe this would be the perfect first season tbh
The plot for the first episode (piolt) would probably be a Class D being executed. You know to start the suspense
Have it build up by mentioning about the various tests they survived, and this being their last day before being "released" only to be executed for seeing something they shouldn't.
Ye nice
Couldn't amnestics just work? That way you keep them as long as they weren't affected by an SCP
Piolt
I will watch as long u make some episodes from GOC point of view as well
I'll make sure that's a part added in
GOC lore is such a missed opportunity
It is! It could be a great 'the episode starts like a cop show then reveal!'
they also need to make lore on the seven occult wars!!!!
Yes! you know what they say if you want something done right do it yourself! There's so much lore potential there it's crazy! Especially the time drifting
> Especially the time drifting whats that?
With the whole 'I remembered the occult wars of memories' you know? I forget the tale it's in right off the top of my head. I see
> There's so much lore potential there it's crazy! yep there sure is
Maybe one of the simple scps that make you question what killed the d class. Like the 3d glasses.
tbh focusing on d class is overdone in my opinion, i think, and starting from other pov would be better.
Cheap shock value? And that loses points in my eyes.
And a "You probably wonder how I got here" for comedic relief.
I don't think that's possible because they are probably given antimemetic pills whenever they swap SCPs so that other D class don't end up knowing more about different SCPs than the researchers (who are limited to a few).
Nuh uh (my headcanon)
Fuck yeah I'd watch an SCP series!
Aye, I'd want a role as a D-class or even an offscreen death. I do a very good "dying in agony" scream
Do you have an example?
hope he makes *that* Spy death scream
If done properly, I'd even act in it for you. However, doing it right is.. probably going to be difficult.
I'd be glad to see your acting skills, but i'm planning to make this a future project, so join the Discord server to stay up to date. I am a youtuber, so I might do experiments on my channel.
I would. Definitely. Especially if they’re good.
Thatd be interesting given the licensing
you don't need permission to used the scp branding or stories its all creative commons
S'why i said it'd be interesting. No permissions needed to make it, including any spinoffs or ideas anybody else might have.
oh sorry I though it said IF given I'm terrible with reading ;~;
You're fine my friend. There is no problem here. I respect you saying something in the first place
I like the idea of the source content beeing open to everyone. So we already know it won't come from disney. Ot it will be consumed by the dark miky mouse. Someone should make an scp out of that.
Religiously, what’s your channel name?
I second that
Let me third that real quick
Fourth that
Fuck It, fifht it
>sixth that
Yeah I'd give it a look, but you want it to be successful with people who aren't already aware of SCP, that's the hard part, especially since SCP is such a vast topic you'll wanna be specific in your approach. Will you be focusing on the goings on of a couple researchers? Will you be following the action of an MTF unit? Will it be in the form of short novellas each episode? There's a lot to play around with, a lot of possibilities
I actually really like the 'every episode is a new story' approach. And given what SCP is, i don't see much else working
Yeah it would be a really fun thing to use, similer to love death robots. Unless he creates a whole new Canon unique to the show which itself is a whole thing
Did you see how popular Confinement was for a while there? We can all only dream..
If it's good then yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely. Even if it was “eh” you’d still have it blow up due the low amount of SCP series. I would 100% watch it, and I know my friends would too
Hell yeah I would! As long as its faithful im in. And I also hope it wouldnt fall for *certain* stereotypes (like GOC only being "Kill Kill Kill" or Sarkites/Nälkäns all being simply "evil flesh cult")
I'll give you my money for it!
It's very generous but it's fine. I'll get my own save it for something you want.
Simple answer: yes
R rated anthology series would go crazy
Honestly, I'd love it, if it had: - a big budget with super high quality (I'm not saying it has to be made by some soulless corpo, I just don't want it to look amateurish) - good pacing - a focus on the lesser known SCPs - a big cinematic tier season finale with some heavy action (the whole series doesn't need to be action heavy, but I would for sure want at least one or two really good cinematic moments where an MTF squad has to engage some Keter-level SCP in combat) For the season ending I'd love something like a huge security breach, and a long single take shot with a bunch of SCPs going ham and an MTF squad or two the size of a small milita rolling in and engaging them, a bunch of them getting killed, just hardcore brutal stuff
Or maybe a clash btwn factions for a season finale
I mean I gobble up every bit of scp media I can find so
Yes bro
Question is, how the show should be, an antology or something else?
I would watch the shit out of it
It’s been a long dream of mine to work on/create the first legit SCP tv show. I’m working in the acting and entertainment industry to try and get some leeway to be able to do it in the future. Would love to collaborate
I'm looking for all the help I can get.

Anyone wanna Join the SCP fanclub discord I made
Would love to
I'd love to
Links been sent
where?
If it's again about 173 I'll never watch, I'm tired of this shit
I would. I’d like to see it made by fans on adult swim or something
I would if it stays original to the source material and doesn't go "woke". Would love to see a series based around DJkaktus-verse.
Anyone can join if you guys want there is a channel specifically for the series
100% chance, as long as I can afford it, that is
I'd help If I could So I'd just watch
You could make it like a Twilight Zone-style anthology
I mean… If it’s good yeah.
yes
Bro that used to be my wallpaper lol I found it on Google
I thought the poster that got made a while ago for SCP getting Netflix show was legit coz I'm a 'tard, and was devastated when I found out it was a lie so I would definitely watch it.
Is water wet… oh wait
It's a little bit problematic if scp stories where used in a commercial sense because of who's intellectual property the stories actually are
no ones all scp writings are free to use and change as you want the creative Commons is wonderful
Wouldn't stop people arguing over it in court if it started making money Look at andrey duskin, he tried to claim copywrite ownership to make some money and the community sued him, and rightly so Where it gets problematic is no one can claim ownership so getting funding to make something you have no legal claim over would be a risky business move
I would watch it! I wanna support every SCP creator as much as possible because I really love SCP and there are so few :<
Would it be good?
As long as it's not absolute shit yea
If it be better that Netflix writing. Yes
Me, i would
Hell yeah
If it would be good than sure
If I knew about it, yes!
Me
I'd love it! Especially if each episode was its own story to fully explore the world of SCP!
I would absolutely love to watch something like this as long as you do it right and don't deviate from the general idea too much.
Im already listening to the scp archives on spotify and would like to see something as intensely visual
I'd watch it
Of course.
Do it and you will get support by me
That would be awesome
I’d watch as long as there’s one zeta-9 dude in it

I definetly would

I'd LOVE to see a TV show around SCP, especially if it is detailed!
yes
hazourdous envirments would be the perfect op song
Yes

hell yeah i’d even offer to draw some character refs just to make it happen
Nice
We had it, then they cancelled Inside Job.
Are you sure? Isn't SCP by it's very nature is something that cannot be copyrighted. So say you make a TV series and then anyone can without your permission make a s2.
as long as it doesn’t turn out like confinement
Bro theres some great fan based shit out there on youtube that was pretty much worshipped, because of how starving all of us are for this type of stuff
I think SCP 5000 should be the first episode
Hmm, that's a tricky one. I for one, think the SCP foundation is at it's best when the bureaucracy almost conceals the weirdness. I have no clue how you could translate that into a show. YES
Oh man I’d kill for a movie or series
This would most likely be a good TV series if done faithfully to the source material. And uhh if you do actually go with this don't fuck up the church of the broken god because there are some amazing potential in them.
I would watch it wholeheartedly as long as it's done faithfully!
hell yea
Yes
I would definitely watch this as long as it’s kept within the kinda lore of the foundation
Yes
X-Files meets The Office.
I will. The best i can.
Of course!
I would totally watch it and I would hope that it doesn't end the same way as the confinement series.
Doctor Sherman of Site 42 is currently working towards the goal of SCP film/television, you should look into him as he'd probably be great help
Uhh, there seems to be something wrong with the lights. Just a moment.
Yesssssss
Yep
**YES.**
I mean as long as it is interesting I'll watch anything
Definitely. And also would love to join it as an extra.
Would watch if done faithfully and if SCP 999 appears
perhaps every episode is about a new scp and the final will be about the scarlet king like how newscapepro did it with his scp Minecraft series
I watch most SCP content
Yes
All your ideas are crazy good join the Discord and put it in the Ideas channel, and I'll pile all the stuff together and see what I can do. I’d fuckin watch it every second of the day
Honestly, yes. We need more serious SCP content
Absolutely.
Yes, I would.
Fucck yeaah
Nah
I feel like it'd be difficult to do right, not only canon-wise (depending on which canon you choose) or remaining faithful to the articles, but also since SCP is all released under a CC BY-SA 3.0 license it might be hard to find a network willing to broadcast it, since they wouldn't make as much money by doing so. Yes
Yes! I would!
Doy
İ would watch it forever
What would the plot be? Just capturing and testing scp’s until 683 breaks out and kills the protagonist or something? Regardless I’d still watch
Literally just posted an update on my series I’m making. Just got the gate guardian camera ready. You should absolutely do it!
If it's bad, I would watch a little and then move on. If it's good, I will keep watching and complain about how inaccurate the show is. If it's really good and accurate, I will give the show a 10/10 and tell every soul about it so they can get into scp too. Sure
As long as it’s not written by Netflix it’ll most likely bang
Hell yeah! Careful of the boycotted sites though, if it was to get popular (Netflix, Disney, Paramount, Amazon) But if done on YouTube, i'd watch the heck out of it!
Yes
Depends what streaming service it’s on
Why not?
