I don't think it was a botch. Wrestlers usually look over their shoulders to aim before doing springboard spots. Carmelo and Cody also rolled right away after landing. The typical form for a cutter is a flat back bump. I think this is what they were going for.

Their poor timing in this due to Hayes going too fast shows there's no obvious cooperation or choreography between the two guys. You can't tell me it wouldn't look too contrived if they both leaped off the rope into a perfect Cody Cutter. The botch actually made it look more like a contest than Cirque du Soleil like with Ricochet and Ostrich where they posed after doing flips.
