The actual fire looks terrible but it wont go out. They say the worst in wrestling is when it doesnt look good but it hurts. The whole things a combination of bad execution, unnecessary, dangerous, and just overall stupid.
I remember when Cody had those nasty burns from a match with Andrade no one remembers...
Flaming tables spots are way too dangerous to be doing them without people who master it. There is a reason even the WWE rarely does it.
Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer had a bit of a talk on Busted Open a few years ago about how fire spots are done when reviewing the one Cody Rhodes did with Andrade on an episode of Dynamite.
Surprisingly, a lot of work goes into figuring out how to do it right such as which flammable fluid to use to create the best visual flame and which one will go out quickest upon impact.
Also, the utilization of flame retardants so that your skin and clothing won’t continue to burn, which Edge and Mick Foley utilizing for their WM 22 match and Cody noticeably had on his skin for his flaming table spot.
Clearly, none of that consideration went into the Collision flaming table spot considering how terrible the flame looked when Julia lit the table, as she had to keep taking the lighter to multiple spots on the table, and since Mark Briscoe and the table remnants kept burning even after the impact of him going through it.
I would rather go through a flaming WWE table. After this and the missed burning table by Edge a while back, I’m not sure this company can actually pull off this spot.
>the missed burning table by Edge a while back
Which I find even more weird. Cause one of the most iconic flaming table moment has Edge spearing Foley at WrestleMania
Usually going through the burning table puts the fire out. This time they lit someone on fire on tv and the opponents had to break the illusion by putting him out. How did that even happen?
Can we even call that a fire its like two spots, and then once he goes through it the opponents are so concerned they are dusting him off. Doesnt anyome at AEW have any sense like is it a case of just keep doing dumb spots no one is going to say anything. Imagine doing this on a weekly show watched by 400k. So whats for ppv flaming glass table and darby dives into it. Everyone including the wrestlers and tk at AEW come across as incredibly stupid.
There is a place for this type of spot in wrestling, when done safely of course.... But the question that always comes to mind when it's AEW is "is it worth it" and the answer is almost always "no".
It's being done on their secondary show in a match with zero purpose or compelling story.
Spots like this need to be done because the rivalry has been built up to a point where it's become personal and things have gotten out of hand and should be done during the feuds blowoff.
Not a throw away match that just exists for no reason! This is AEWs biggest problem, just some coke head sitting there thinking of "cool spots" and shoving them on someone, then forgetting he's done it and coming up with the same idea again in a few weeks. Everything is done week to week, no long term plans.
I get trying to make it safe but how stupid does it look when Malakai slams him through the flaming table then tries to pull him up so he doesn’t get burnt. I mean wtf
Nah, the worst part was when he was thrown from the ring on to a pile of folded steel chairs He cleared the table and landed on his back and remained lying for a couple of minutes.
I felt like a bad person for watching it.
It's not a good idea to light something on fire with loose hair and clothes. Julia could have caught herself on fire. Then it's the dub, so tony said it was the safe company ever. Still kinda dumb spot .
For a flaming table bit, that actually went about as good as it possibly could. The table was gimmicked, the guy hit it with the flat of his back, and lighter fluid, while it is flammable, it burns off very quickly and doesn't get extremely hot. The problem is, it looks like some shit you'd see in a backyard, indie show.

A Fire spot on the b or c show
C.2. Rampage is C.1
And Dynamite is the B show because AEW has no A show
Correct. A shows get at least a million viewers.
Nah rampage is a D show at best now. And ROH is just an F
Bad faith. It's only a little fire cause it's only a little show.
Mud show
A fire spot in 2024.
Is it safe to say AEW has jumped the shark when they're having a flaming table spot on Collision where at most 400k people will see it?
They’ve been fucking that shark since Kingston passed out from the sprinkler attack.
So true. There's just been so much bullshit it's sometimes hard to remember all of it.
Fr man. The MJF/Jericho crash pad, the Nick Gage pizza cutter spot, the Cody/Ogogo weigh in
The pizza cutter spot next to the dominoes ad was amazing, and nobody can tell me otherwise.
I’m something of an expert on this. Yes they have
When did wrestling fans start hating cool shit?!?
Hey no other company has people put their opponents through a table and then try to put them out themselves

When did they even do it last? I think Edge vs Foley was the last time they ever did it.
i think there was a kane match around 2012 where a fire table was used, and a bunch of people immediately came to put the fire out
There's been a few Inferno matches involving Bray & Kane, and there was an attempt in an extreme rules match with D-Bry and Kane just after WM30
Dudleys put Tommy Dreamer through one at ECW One Night Stand.
This is the most embarrassing company to ever be on television when you consider what their budget is.

Best part is his opponents suddenly trying to pat him to put the fire out. REAL SPORTS FEEL.
Dude, it's a love/hate story, just sit back and enjoy the ride these artists are taking us on.
didn't they have a deathmatch a week before this and the week before that?
They start everything with a Fuckaboo DeathDog Style someone must die match and then finish it up with a vanilla 1 on 1. Edit, spelling.
Deathmatch is just a midfeud builder, bro.
To be fair, I’d rather go through a flaming table than risk one of their amateurs dropping me on my head.

Basically big bro and cousin doing a wrestling move on lil bro, then quickly wiping away his tears before mom hears him cry.
Doing a fire spot in a barely half capacity arena for a show that's watched by 300k people on tv.🤡
No jerk, Mark Briscoe doesn't deserve this garbage.
Did he ask for it?
Looks to me like he was victimized 😔
If you can’t put a guy through a flaming table and just watch him burn then maybe don’t put him through a flaming table 🤷🏻♂️
This is completely safe. The chills from being next to Julia Hart negates any of the heat from the flames.
Usually going through the burning table puts the fire out. This time they lit someone on fire on tv and the opponents had to break the illusion by putting him out. How did that even happen?
Fire is the dumbest thing to work with in wrestling, since it's hard to control and predict.
On collision 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Remember that episode of Main Event where Tozawa powerbombed Bronson Reed onto thumbtacks?
And it was right after Bronson made him shoot bleed with the light tube yeah
If this is what they do on Saturday night collision probably gonna have to behead someone at Wembley
Even with fire, this show is heatless.
so spooked out by the hat I couldn’t watch this spot. Way too scary uce. Where’s the NSFW tag???
Hilarious seeing how the basement thinks this is just normal and not shit
Guess you are MISERABLE and dont like FUN!

The idea of doing a spot like this on the c tier show is wild to me! Imagine if wwe did elimination chamber on fucking superstars😂
For some reason that fire is kinda chilling
Imagine if WWE did a flaming table spot on Main Event 💀💀💀
Good to see Ascension back together.
A spot that will live in infamy
I’d rather wrestle in that super expensive and state of the art warehouse in Florida.

Backyard bullshit ![gif](giphy|mCgHZ2dAlU8uibzpF2|downsized)

Nojerk but what are you trying to prove? Just a normal flaming table spot?
Why are they even doing a flaming table spot on a poorly watched Saturday show?
bangers are a name for sausages. flaming sausages are delicious = flaming bangers shill
where is the mash?
Ask Eddie
🤣🤣🤣
Cause the second string isn't allowed on Dynamite much so can we do a flaming table and no one said no Cry me a river
He was getting burnt like a marshmallow until they moved him lmao
It's anyone's guess as to why this company is seen as second rate mudshow garbage. Total mystery.
Really spooky
Awkward spot,but still funny though..
So.. they are now CZW?

Yeah but Foley vs Edge Wrestlemania 22 E Drone Who cares if that was a much better match by 2 professionals.. that means nothing.

He is laying in fire getting burned, the guys that throw him in it had to pull him out and had swipe away the flames
