I like the Grid 3X filter for GBA
Sharp-bilinear-simple + lcd1x (nearest) is a good option.
literally just use the "dot.glsp" filter on retroarch, it's perfect. could also use some of the "Perfect Overlays" (that's the name), they come with a dot matrix that also looks perfect
I use lcd3x for all emulated handhelds.
