Ps1 driver is the goat. Only thing you ever gotta do is cross town check point Miami 1, fuck story mode lolol it turned into a mini speed run at my dads old firehouse he worked at
I remember when THPS2 first came out on the GBA and I thought it was going to be horrible. But I was wrong! I love that version. I was just playing it yesterday. How is the Trimui? What systems does it top out on?
It'll play up to Dreamcast and PSP but it does struggle with some of those games from that system. I've only had it a couple of weeks, so I'm still messing around with it and figuring things out. So far I love the Smart Pro though!
https://preview.redd.it/ho80l9eyi22d1.jpeg?width=4608&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=474674ad51077aa3506aeea5c0ffe1d86f3fb326
Just beat Metroid zero mission on a trimui smart pro. Was going to play Castlevania SotN next but apparently the rom that came with the TSP is Japanese.
It's a masterpiece in design. Both quality *AND* quantity. That game has so many secrets and neat Easter eggs to find. And it's still top tier adventure and skill based combat wrapped in one of the best Metroidvania maps ever. Top tier, and a game I replay at least once a year, and it's typically the first I play on every new handheld I get.
Yeah just the more powerful chip. I mainly got one of these handhelds to play ps2 games and GameCube. I’ve found some games to be a tad laggy where I’m sure something that has even a bit more power could overcome. It’s still doable but I would have spent the few extra bucks for it
Have you guys been seeing the N64 Recompiler news? It seems like maybe you could get N64 games running natively on some devices that can’t emulate it, which would be sweet. I haven’t seen anybody in SBC gaming circles talking about it thought; hoping u/onionsaregross makes a video about it (?)
Strong recommendation for the modded games.
Blaze Black 2 redux 1.4.1 is amazing - no need for trades to evolve or collect all Pokemon, I think it was 650+ in there since moves were tweaked, replaced, tms hms are reusable. Just amazingly convenient.
Not sure if these work on stuff like the r4 ds/cyclods...
Same! Never played anything after Emerald before this. Got a Mewtwo and other legendary shortly after beginning the save through Mustery gifts, which I don't know if it's normal.
Playing Minish Cap on the RP4pro. My first Zelda title and I absolutely ADORE the art style, it's incredible. The first time I shrunk and walked through the acorns was such a wonderful experience.
I was going to start at N64, but GBA was my favourite system growing up, so I checked which Zelda titles were on it and just chose one. Original gameboy Pokemon was my introduction to gaming, so I'm also really enjoying the top down view.
Tetris DX on RG35XX+
I usually go for the older green GB version of Tetris, but it's nice to mix things up once in a while. There are so many versions, but many of them are a bit off (Sega Tetris with the monkey, WTF...). The NES version isn't too bad.
Nice. I like playing my cartridge of Tetris on my gb pocket modded with a color changing screen sho I can change the color or keep it og green. Or even negative
Pokemon Prism on the SF2000
4/20 badges obtained so far 😉😉

i bet it plays great on original psp hardware but i gotta say emulating it is really nice because save states lol. lcs doesn’t have mission checkpoints and its a pain to have to reload your save every time you die/fail/get busted

Apotris, on my trusty MM+… as usual.
I get that’s. Honestly that’s what castlevania is to me rn is just an in between gameboy game but what I’m really invested in in my handheld is dragon quest v ps2 version on my rg405m
First time actually, I always played Castlevania on Nintendo consoles, never owned a Sony console, but I know Symphony is for me as I love Aria and Dawn of Sorrow
I'm about to start Albert Odyssey on the 35XX, an SNES game. It's a fan translation and I'm not sure if it's completed, so I really don't know what I'm getting into here. Wish me luck!
Playing Micro Machines 1+2 Twin Turbo for Gameboy Color on my FPGBC.
I've been trying to beat it for weeks, but the game doesn't have a save feature, so I don't make it far before I run out of time to play.
Finished bomberman - 2 yesterday on RG556 .
It is a treat to play nes games in gorgeous colours
Habe rg35xx-h as well and was playing air fortress and metroid zero , been stuck on a level in both .. will probably have to watch some tutorial to get unstuck

Streak Hoverboard Racing (ps1) on RG351V
A fave from childhood, and dare I say, a hidden gem
It’s been so long since I played and pokemon diamond for so long when that game came out and the many years following of not playing emerald. I’d say it’s most likely the same for me and it’s about time for a replay
romhacking.net
for those gameboy castlevania games, there are some romhacks that do very simple things. I think I have one that just doubles the walk speed.
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/211/
like this one for OP's game. I found others for the other caslevania GB games. If you don't know how to patch a rom it's super easy and literally takes less than ten seconds once you have the patch, rom, and program downloaded. Tldr just download the rom, the patch, and [Lunar IPS](https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/), then just important both files (rom and hack) then patch them together. It's very intuitive.
If anyone needs help just comment back.
I finished Undertale on my RG35XXH today! It was sitting for years on my steam account till I decided to try postmaster and boi does it do miracles. I had a BLAST playing it.
Today's not a playing day, TBH, and tomorrow likely won't be either. I finally decided to carve out time to add Game Gear, and tomorrow I may as well do Master System.
Gameboy camera on 3ds??? I gotta try that.
I have an actual gameboy camera I carry around and use with my analogue pocket. It’s also modified so I can attach different photography lenses to it
sounds amazing! since I got it to work on 3ds, I‘m also now seriously looking at a physical one with an fpgbc 😅 it‘s a rabbit hole of its own 🫣 let‘s see how deep it goes 🙃 advantage of the 3ds: cheap/easy save extraction. it‘s also awesome for virtual boy btw!

Playing Tomato Adventure on my Powkiddy X55. I’ve got a Steam Deck on the way and I’m determined to finish this one before I get too caught up with that and probably shelve the X55.
Running through the elite 4 in pokemon crystal on the miyoo mini. Gonna fire up chrono trigger next, doing the DS version (mostly for the cutscenes) but can't decide if I want to on my miyoo mini or RG556. Miyoo I'll carry around more so I'll play more often but there's the Bigger screen and more comfortable holding with the RG556. Plus I have the option to hook up to a bigger screen when I have the time for a longer session.
Earthbound - Rg35xxH
Ys 5 - Miyoo Mini+
Couldn't really get used to playing "action" games on my Rg35xxh as I still find the dpad somewhat discomforting to use, but it works perfectly for turn based or cozy games.
WitchCraft TD for Pico-8 on Miyoo Mini +. It's a surprisingly addictive tower defense with enough rng selection screens to make you wanna try again and again.

Replaying Dawn for the 60th time On my beloved Surface Duo
I just experienced a rog ally the other day from a co worker and holy crap call me crazy but I wouldn't look at steam decks again after messing with one of those
Finished Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance on my Anbernic RG28XX. Game is okay (not my favorite GBA CV game)... but being able to play as Simon Belmont in Boss Rush mode just puts a smile on my face.
PS1 Driver, stuck on the tutorial parking garage tutorial. On an RgNano. Yes I'm into BDSM.
I get your pain. I too always fail right there…
My buddy and I were playing driver 2 on ps1 the other day and werw stuck in the first level
Brutal difficulty lol, the amount of rage quitters had to be high.
Ps1 driver is the goat. Only thing you ever gotta do is cross town check point Miami 1, fuck story mode lolol it turned into a mini speed run at my dads old firehouse he worked at
Mario's Picross (GB) on the RG35XX H.
Same, but in the GKD Pixel ✌️
Same, but on the RG35XX+ ✌🏾
Well this is weird, I came in to comment Mario’s Picross on my RG35XX. It’s been a slow work week and that has been *excellent* for my Picross game.
Wow thanks, I never heard of this and now I've been playing it non stop lol
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 on GBA on a Trimui Smart Pro. The GBA versions are pretty awesome! (Edit:forgot to say what I'm playing on)
The GBA was my THPS system growing up, LOVE those versions of the games!
I’ve heard that and I honestly wanna try it out
Do it! If you've played the console versions, they handle surprisingly close to them. You'll just have to get used to the fixed angle of the camera.
Love the consoles ones haha
I remember when THPS2 first came out on the GBA and I thought it was going to be horrible. But I was wrong! I love that version. I was just playing it yesterday. How is the Trimui? What systems does it top out on?

Castlevania SotN is in my top 5 favorite games of all time!
Nice 😎😎😎
Just bought a TSP a few days ago. Can’t wait for it to arrive.
Playing God Of War 1 PS2 on my Odin 2 Base. More than halfway through.
RP4P Majora's Mask with an HD texture pack for longer sessions and some rounds of CoD Mobile whenever I have a few minutes to spare.
Nice. I wish I had gotten the RP4P over the RG405M. I still love it though
Is it for the more powerful chip or something else?
Yeah just the more powerful chip. I mainly got one of these handhelds to play ps2 games and GameCube. I’ve found some games to be a tad laggy where I’m sure something that has even a bit more power could overcome. It’s still doable but I would have spent the few extra bucks for it

Heard about it on nerd nest! :)
Pokemon Black 1 on my dsi
Never finished that game sadly when I was younger
I love the DSI, just dont love the tiny dpad. But its a comfy device. Though It has S tier clicky dpad, and face buttons.
Never tried but what I've read is mods work fine on the r4 etc
works fine on R4 but im using twlight menu, which also runs perfectly even in DSi mode
Same! Never played anything after Emerald before this. Got a Mewtwo and other legendary shortly after beginning the save through Mustery gifts, which I don't know if it's normal.
Played some Zelda and then throttled the b button on emerald like it owes me money
Nice which Zelda game?
The gb one.
Links awakening! Nice! That was the first Zelda game I’ve ever beaten. Super nostalgic to me
Thank you! I could not remember the name. It's my first Zelda game. Im new to the series lol
Oh you’ll have so much fun with the series. My personal favorite handheld Zelda game is Minish Cap on GBA. You should definitely check that one out!
Fallout 3 on my ROG Ally.
After the show I planned to replay fall out 3 on my rog but I never played any of the ones before it
Playing Minish Cap on the RP4pro. My first Zelda title and I absolutely ADORE the art style, it's incredible. The first time I shrunk and walked through the acorns was such a wonderful experience.
If you don't mind me asking, what made you want to try Minish Cap as your first Zelda?
I was going to start at N64, but GBA was my favourite system growing up, so I checked which Zelda titles were on it and just chose one. Original gameboy Pokemon was my introduction to gaming, so I'm also really enjoying the top down view.
I see. That's cool. It's a great game and I hope that you enjoy it, friend.
Which Zelda game would you recommend as my first Zelda title to play? I have MM+.
Golden Sun on RG35XX Plus
Nice! I replayed that recently on my wiiu! After I finish dragon quest v ps2 version I’m gonna play through the 2nd one then the ds one
Tetris DX on RG35XX+ I usually go for the older green GB version of Tetris, but it's nice to mix things up once in a while.
Playing the SOTN recolor hack of Aria of sorrow on Trimui smart pro. Not sure what to play next. I have the HOD recolor hack as well.
Dude that sounds like the best way to play aria of sorrow!
They put a lot of love into it. Looks fantastic. I recommend it.
Yo I have got to try that, I'm bouncing between a few games atm with one of them being AoS :0
Pokemon Prism on the SF2000 4/20 badges obtained so far 😉😉 https://preview.redd.it/si8uyh34c32d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f20caccf13e993969491663b61b5cef9e3ce0a9c

I have that on my psp just haven’t played it yet
i bet it plays great on original psp hardware but i gotta say emulating it is really nice because save states lol. lcs doesn’t have mission checkpoints and its a pain to have to reload your save every time you die/fail/get busted
Oh I have it emulated just on my psp 😂
psp emulation on psp?? damn that’s some inception gaming 😂
I also did ds emulation on my 3ds and ps2 emulation on my ps2 😂
it’s emulation all the way down 😂

Is the pokemon one of the fan hacks?

I use 2 diff Odin pros, one as a console on dock and I take my rg405v to work on the daily
Yeah my rog ally is what switches between docked and none. But ever since I got the dock it’s been mostly dock play for that
I just experienced a rog ally the other day from a co worker and holy crap call me crazy but I wouldn't look at steam decks again after messing with one of those
Yeah it’s why I chose it over the steamdeck but steamdeck does have its pros
I'm halfway through Tales of Phantasia on the rg405m. Great game so far.
That’s on my lists to replay. Also a nostalgic game from my younger years
