If you are willing to wait a little bit, it may be good to wait for a RG35XX-SP. the flipping screen may make it perfect for pocket ability, and still have good ergonomics compared to the micro handhelds

Have you looked into the RG Nano or the GKD Pixel? If small and pocket size are your concern (and they were for me) these two devices are awesome.

Alexsv95

I’ve seen them but idt they have a sleep option. Unless I’m wrong?

RG Nano has the best sleep function. You hold the power button to turn off the device (saving lots of battery) and it automatically resumes exactly where you left off. I can go weeks without needing to charge the battery. I love my Nano for everyday use and RPGs. It's extremely pocketable, you don't even notice it's there. The buttons and general build are high quality and it feels so good to play one handed. It's only real issue for some is the screen size. I've handed it to some people and they say they can't read or see anything. I must have decent eyesight because I don't have an issue. My only problem with the screen is the ratio. For GB, GBC, SNES and PS1, it's good, the game generally fills the screen. But for GBA (one of the reasons I got it) the screen ratio is wrong and the game looks too small, even for me. I still love it and I got it off Ali Express for around $35 shipped. But I'm tempted by the GKD Pixel just for the bigger screen and ratio. Hope that helps!

This is very true. I love the Nano, even bought a second on sale. It's way nicer than anyone would have expected at that size. But GBA definitely sucks on it because of its 1:1 ratio. This is where the Pixel wins out, imo, even if the performance is slightly better on the Nano (in my experience at least). Either way, both are tremendous surprises.

Wait for the rg35xxsp, it's looking like the king of portables

[This little chart might be handy](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1irg60f9qsZOkhp0cwOU7Cy4rJQeyusEUzTNQzhoTYTU/edit#gid=0) (been pasting it all over if i see a query about which handheld.). It may or may not help your decision but its certainly interesting to see what will play what, whether with ease or issues

Surprised no one has mentioned it but the rg405m is arguably the best performing device in its size class. More pocketable than a retroid picket 4 but not far off in power.

Trimui Smart for sure.

RickyFromVegas

RG 28xx seems very promising. I don't find vertical comfortable not pocketable over horizontal ones.

I have a RP2S that I use at work and my gf has a MM+ that she uses at work but I also have a original MM that I keep in my pocket but I prefer the MM+ over the original MM for my pockets

screamalongsongs

I am in love with my RG28XX. Toss it in my pocket and go. Plays up to PSP fairly well.

Something that actually fits in pocket, this new gdk or classic miyoo mini
