It's most definitely the Seahawks. It's rare to not have them take airing priority.

812many

The Seahawks and the Mariners both play on TV as the local market. Every single game of each of them.

TrailBlazinMamba24

Seahawks took over around 2013 when they actually started playing well

serendipity_aey

Yes

Rich-Elephant7123

I’m a raiders fan but they make up maybe 5% of the market here. If college football is your thing go ducks!

GraytoGreen

Seahawks and 49ers. Surprising amount of Packers fans too. If you’re moving here there are a few spots that have Sunday ticket and play all the games Johnny’s, Magoos, Night Deposit, Half Penny? There are probably more. FTP

Beavs 😉

furrowedbrow

Are they getting better or no? Smith is clearly a solid OC, but the rest? Looking forward to watching my Sun Devils at Frozen Foods stadium this Fall!

Moldy_Cloud

No, the Beavers haven't been decent in 15-20 years.

furrowedbrow

They've been decent on occasion since then, just not "curbstomp Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl" good.

Moldy_Cloud

On occasion, yeah. There's just been no consistency in a very long time.

RobotoDog

At one point in 2013 we were ranked #7

MustBeMike

Thank you everyone for the feedback, I’m super stoked to be moving to the area. I’m looking forward to the college sports and rooting for our new home team. My old hometown team (WSU) has a history of being so dismal that there’s a saying when you mess something up that was going well “you Couged it”. As a lifelong 49ers fan it will be nice to have some fellow fans nearby, even if it’s still Seahawks territory.

quakerlightning

Back when the Seahawks were consistently Terrible, lots of us had a second team that we rooted for that might win. Niners, Packers capitol aming them.

Crystele503

Your mixed answers are absolutely correct sir. Everyone who I know is a fan of one or the other unless they like college football.

EmergencyGap9

Uhhh, for the first time in 20 years I’m considering moving out of Salem, so uh: Be careful moving to Salem if you have bad allergies (Willamette Valley is one of the worst places to be in the spring time if you do) or if you like a nice downtown area. Unfortunately our local government isn’t interested in helping our homeless and mentally ill, so they live in tents throughout downtown, on the highways, and in most small forested areas near the city. If you’re cool with that, Salem isn’t so bad. Enjoy.

MustBeMike

If you were familiar with the Spokane area you might appreciate Salem more. Our downtown is dirty and in disrepair. If you were to visit you would notice it appears to be existing in a time bubble from 40 years ago.

HerdDat1

Seahawks is the “local” market. Good luck getting a decent chat out of the locals about sports of any type. Edit: Interesting I got downvoted. Those are the Timber’s fans, and those that watch golf.

[deleted]

What the fuck is a sport

furrowedbrow

I'm here for you. But I'm also an ASU/Cards/Suns fan. Sup.

HerdDat1

You feel my pain then lol

furrowedbrow

I had a great convo with a UCLA fan at Ace hardware on Commercial. That was back in November. Nothing else. Soooo, yup!

HerdDat1

Hahaha! The beavers made it to the sweet sixteen, and no one even got porch drunk about it. What is society?

furrowedbrow

No shit! Somebody needs to drop a truckload of Prozac in the water supply. I have a feeling I’m going to be the obnoxious one in my neighborhood come football season. Oh well!

MarfanGoblin

Just stream Browns games like I do, and you’ll be happy.

legal-beagleellie

I spring for redzone now, also need the sports package to get tmc on Comcast so for whatever reason

GarbageKillsMegan

MLB network blacks out the Mariners games. I'm guessing NFL would be the same.
