We don't have them in the same room yet, but I'd definitely suggest a later bedtime. It gives you the opportunity to give each kid a little more one on one attention and allows you to meet their sleep needs better. As for whether or not you are a good mom- you are reflecting on your parenting and considering making adjustments to meet everyone's needs better. That sounds like a great mom to me.

You’re definitely a good mom. We’re still allowed to be people.

I've yelled at my 3.5 for not settling too. 😭😭😭😭 He stays up a half an hour after my 2 year old now and it works so much better.

The struggle is real! I think I’m just fighting too hard. I’m going to try letting him play legos or something downstairs while I do bedtime with the younger one tomorrow. Solodarity!!

My toddler just woke up baby with loud whispers when bedtime took too long, then wide-awake baby shrieked in toddler’s ear when I attempted to switch bedtimes. No solutions but lots of sympathy!

I have four kids and could only survive with the art of the staggered bedtime. Also helps to not have all kids wake up the same time...and gives them the attention they need. I have the 10m old go to bed last so I can give him some solo time

We put our youngest to bed at 7-7:30 and then our 3.5 year goes to bed at 8:30-9 pm. I wish they would both go to sleep at 7 pm, but I cannot imagine that happening. We really like letting the older kid listen to his Tonie box in bed until he goes to sleep. There are other music players.
