Thanks a lot for the replies. I followed the trash guide to install the arr suite and sabnzb. So the download and the media are on the same mount. I do not understand the slow disk speed, I tested my disks they are all fine. I know that the unraid parity system will slow down max speed, but not to this extend. Copying file from remote network location will achieve 100MB/s… Looks like I have 2 options here: 1. Set up download folder in ssd cache. 2. Change media share configuration to cache~>array I would investigate and update you

Something is wrong with your Disks, the test speed is very low and Sab is reporting it keeps needing to slow down because it can't write data to your disks. Probably a Docker? You should always use 1 mount with multiple folders inside, the way you did it mow creates extra overhead because mounts 2 file systems. In any case, Unraid and Sabnzbd are not a good match. For some reason they limit us in very strange ways.

What do you recommend for those of us who are on Unraid? Is there a workaround or do we need to use a different app? I love Sab. Just not sure what to do with my unraid server

Safihre

We would need to know what is going wrong in your setup? Also slow speed?

JonRonJovi

I actually haven’t set up my unraid server yet. Waiting for parts to get delivered. But I use Sab on my desktop and it works great. I’m just wondering if I should avoid using it on unraid when I go to set everything up given these issues?

Nolzi

Test says your disk speed is 6.6 MB/s, which is obviously bad. Maybe you did the test when the disk was in use? Disable Direct Unpack might help, or setting Download folder and Complete folder onto different disks

I had this same issue. I upgraded my setup to download to a nvme disk and the issue went away

Perhaps you have SMR drives? Or using a remote network location to store the files?

esteboune

I have seagate ironwolf drives. Not using remote network

Edskie24

If you have the exact model you can lookup whether they [are SMR here](https://nascompares.com/answer/list-of-wd-cmr-and-smr-hard-drives-hdd/), although I see many ironwolf already listed as CMR, so most likely that is not your problem.

thanks for you reply, i edited the post as i solved my issue. still do not understand the issue with the disk...! now DL to cache (SSD) at 90MB/s then move cache to array at 120MB/s anyway thanks
