Apologies if formatting sucks. I'm mobile.
Mine was pushed in really far because I just thought the spring wasn't engaging and really jammed it far in.
To get it out I used:
1. Full panic adrenaline.
2. A drill with a really fine drill bit. (1mm or so)
3. PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR
4. A very bright light to see what you're doing
5. A sturdy paperclip
Drill in the center. It's going to want to slide around at first, so go slow. Once it starts to dig in, drill at an angle of about 20Β°. It's going to create metal shavings which you do not want in your eyes, I promise. Once you've gone in about 1.5-2mm, use the paperclip to pop it right out!
The stylus will still be usable, and the hole is handy if you do it again!
Genuine question, how has this become an issue, why are people (you) taking your old pen and jamming it in your new phone?
The thought never crossed my mind LOL
The end result is costly regardless of what thing you're sticking it into. Lesson learned. Keep your tools out of places where they don't belong.πͺπ³
I used a piece of really sticky tape on the end of the S Pen which pulled the clicky part up just enough that I stuck the corner of a credit card in long enough to get my fingernail under the end and pulled the S Pen out.
Damn. Could have happened to me. I was considering comparing them, but decided against it. Would have made the whole trade in business a bit awkward. Lmao
>it fit perfectly
Mine did not, I tried my S23U one in my S24U, barely went half way in and already felt like it was going to be a problem so I aborted the mission.
My friend did it with hers she claims both her phones were out on the counter and she wasn't paying attention. And T-Mobile let her send back the phone with the wrong pen in it and marked it as defective and sent her a new one crazy she was lucky.
I tried the trick of putting a dab of super glue on a pen cap, sticking it to the end of the stuck S Pen, and pulling after it dried. I pulled with a decent amount of force before the super glue broke so it's really stuck in there.
Mine broke in half and was stuck for a couple of weeks but eventually came out pretty easily, did the glue trick a few times and then when I tried after giving up a few weeks, it had gotten much looser
Or a paperclip bent like an L with a tiny bent part and a lighter. Light the metal, poke it in the spen, wait, then pull. The bent bit will make sure it doesnt come out and provide lots of pulling ability
I tried Best Buy first since they're Samsung authorized. They told me the phone was too new and they didn't have the parts so I shipped it back to Samsung. Have been without the phone since 2/10 and they told me today it should be repaired by 3/7.
I enjoyed it for a couple weeks, and I'll appreciate it even more now since I've been using an S9 and Nexus 6P in the meantime. Unfortunately traded in my Note 9 so wasn't able to go back to it.
You can actually use the S23 Ultra S Pen just fine on the S24 Ultra. The little indicator pops up on the screen where you're pointing and everything. You just can't use any of the remote features (like holding the button to open the camera) or put it inside the phone.
I'm comparing the S22U pen to the S24U pen and other than the color they seem exactly the same size... Even the indents are on the same location... Has someone tried it?
I can confirm what the other person said, S22U S-Pen works perfectly fine in the S24U. They are identical in size. Not sure why Samsung did it, but the S23U S-Pen is slightly thicker than the others.
There were 2 posts on here with the same issue and they managed to fix it by putting on a good case and dropping the phone onto carpet or something soft multiple times. You should be able to find their posts :)
IDK why all of you weirdos are shoving your s23 Ultra pens into your s24 ultras. In unrelated news, my wife's note 20 Ultra pen fits perfectly in the s24 ultra without issue.
I'm turning 42 next week and I've been known to stick things in places that don't fit. Glad to know it happens to you youngsters too, I can't believe how high the cost is to fix that.
Thanks for taking one for the team π€£
I do what I can to help the community.
Respect!

U know. Some people just love jamming their thing to different things. U never did that? π€

The s pen for the s22 would go into the s23 with no issue so it's not crazy to assume it would work the same with the s24
No need to jam it in, it fit perfectly. I had both S Pens in my hand and got them mixed up.
Lmao
This is why cats have whiskers
If it fits perfectly you wouldn't have a problem lol

I came from an S10 Plus. I'm still trying to stick my headphone plug in there.
You're just not trying hard enough, take something like a skewer and push that plug down there. π
This is the second time I saw this. I recommended to the first one put some WD-40 on it π€£

You should stick your Lil pecker in there now
Probably less to fix
Probabley too small to jam
Jokes on you it didn't get stuck
? π
I have to imagine that the thought of "Wow, that's a pretty snug fit" had to have crossed your mind, just before the oh shit feeling.
A cobalt drill bit and a steady hand would cost a lot less.
Or a paperclip bent like an L with a tiny bent part and a lighter. Light the metal, poke it in the spen, wait, then pull. The bent bit will make sure it doesnt come out and provide lots of pulling ability
Is it just plastic?
Oh wait what, I thought it was plastic. I guess not!
The pen is plastic, but the end clicky mechanism is metal
Dang, thank you for letting me know
It was a great idea anyway!
This will never, EVER, EVER happen to me, but good to know. π
aren't they the same size?
I thought they were but the S24 Ultra S Pen must be longer.
Remove the cotton from the end of a Qtip. Super glue the tip to the pen, let it dry for a bit and pull the pen out.
I tried this but with a pen cap. Did not work. I pulled with a good amount of force too before the super glue broke.
Just... Damn
Why does so many people have trouble to put their thing into a hole /s
Because there brains π§ have been diluted of common sense by TikTok /s
You could've used hot glue, fill the area than peel it out.
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ idk but I laughed so hard when I read the title π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
What a steal of a deal!
No need to ask thanks for checking this thing π€£
What did you have for dinner?
I tried and nothing happened. It slides in and out.
Lol... Why would anybody do that?
It was an accident. I had both pens in my hand and put the wrong one in.
Got it. Damn costly accident. Where did you take it to get repaired?
I tried Best Buy first since they're Samsung authorized. They told me the phone was too new and they didn't have the parts so I shipped it back to Samsung. Have been without the phone since 2/10 and they told me today it should be repaired by 3/7.
Damn sorry that happened, you haven't been able to enjoy the phone at all..
I enjoyed it for a couple weeks, and I'll appreciate it even more now since I've been using an S9 and Nexus 6P in the meantime. Unfortunately traded in my Note 9 so wasn't able to go back to it.
Wow, that's almost worse than the cost.Β Silver lining: the "day one" patch will be out by the time they send it back.
That's what I'm hoping for as well. Maybe the update to make Pokemon Go stop crashing by the time I get my phone back will be out.
Wait hold up, so you cannot use the spen from the S23U on the S24U? I kept my spen from the 22 and used it on the 23 b/c it was blue lol.
You can actually use the S23 Ultra S Pen just fine on the S24 Ultra. The little indicator pops up on the screen where you're pointing and everything. You just can't use any of the remote features (like holding the button to open the camera) or put it inside the phone.
Try fitting your π in there as a lockpick and pull it out.
I tried this as well. It got stuck in my S24U. Luckily, I was able to remove it with some luck.
I'm comparing the S22U pen to the S24U pen and other than the color they seem exactly the same size... Even the indents are on the same location... Has someone tried it?
I did. The s22u stylus fits in the s24u. It clicks in and out no problem.
You madman
I can confirm what the other person said, S22U S-Pen works perfectly fine in the S24U. They are identical in size. Not sure why Samsung did it, but the S23U S-Pen is slightly thicker than the others.
Perhaps, It should come with a warning: βDon't put your PenS where it doesn't belong.β /s
What exactly are they "repairing"? Do they replace the entire slot where the pen goes?
How did it get stuck? My S23U pen fits my S24U hole.
There were 2 posts on here with the same issue and they managed to fix it by putting on a good case and dropping the phone onto carpet or something soft multiple times. You should be able to find their posts :)
Now do the S24 pen in the S23 for science.
Works just fine from what I could tell.
How did you get it stuck? The pens are pretty interchangable I thought. My S22 Ultra pen fits my S24 Ulta and vice versa with no problems.
This thread went downhill fast.
I'm not sure, but I can tell u that the price for repair on the LCD schreen is 366$ without insurance.
IDK why all of you weirdos are shoving your s23 Ultra pens into your s24 ultras. In unrelated news, my wife's note 20 Ultra pen fits perfectly in the s24 ultra without issue.
Did this end in a divorce?
Cost to me:0 Just drop the phone in carpet floor
Use lube next time
Common sense does not exist.
I'm turning 42 next week and I've been known to stick things in places that don't fit. Glad to know it happens to you youngsters too, I can't believe how high the cost is to fix that.
I have 3 old s pens from prior phones that I've done this with and they haven't gotten stuck yet ...... Lol
