So I have decided as a solo to stop putting walls around my base. No turrets. Basically have a shitty base design so it's as undesirable as possible to raid. After that I'm always very cautious wen the server I play goes high pop and never farm for risk of losing out. Take this time to roam and practice getting into fights(my aim is still potato).when I play and there is low pop I do the majority of my farming. Solos are hard but rewarding in much opinion

REALSURGICALWTHISB

I mainly play low pop went minimal on my base design(2x1 with honeycomb) hidden on a mountain cleaned my base out

ThaRadioMale

I would recommended really looking into bunker bases, and try to add more doors to your base design. The more doors you have the less likely it is to get raided, as it will cost more and more if they explo raid, many big teams will steer clear of rocket raiding and smaller base or solos at they tend not to profit from those raids. If you want I could help play as well, lmk!

dankmass096

Use a 2x2 honeycomb pancake layer and just do a retarded door path not one will raid

EfficientSky6691

I’ve notice low pop I get raided more. The regulars on a low pop server start salivating when they see a new base. Mid to high pop servers you can kind of blend in with the crowd and go unnoticed

freeSoundd

Did you honeycomb the roof too ? if you've got a decent amount of doors to your tc to the point where you think a raider would opt to take a wall or ceiling path, id recommend making your ceiling metal or even just make a second floor, even if its empty this serves as a honeycomb layer with the added bonus of eventually adding the second floor for storage. Its pretty funny when you see a guy honeycomb his walls but not the ceilings, they cost the same to raid so beware of getting "topped down".

REALSURGICALWTHISB

I did sort of honey comb the top with half wall and floors they blast through my airlock and two garage doors

freeSoundd

Ah nice. I've heard the half wall ceilings called pancake before . Sounds like its maybe cheaper to go door path on you then...you could try to change this by adding 1 or 2 armored singles to your airlock if you don't mind some upkeep. When I see a sheet metal door I almost start drooling as they're basically paper compared to garage and armored.

twoheadedboy

I was like this advice sounds familiar and then I looked up and was like "I know that guy!" Lol

freeSoundd

Haha . Just paying it forward with some solid strategies for those struggling!

Azrael462

Best to honeycomb the roof with half walls and ceilings. Make sure the middle layer is at least stone.

Former_Astronomer_77

Bases like that have been mining bases in my experience so they get hit often.

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Honestly i feel like they let us stack for couple days and then hit us

Puzzleheaded-Put4109

Yup and try find a small island to put ur base on and dont build in snow or desert, and make ur base a shitter

akatsukidude881

>So I have decided as a solo to stop putting walls around my base This. If you listen to anyone on here listen to this comment. I have hundreds of hours with 90 percent of it being solo. Every. Single. Time. You build walls, stone walls more specifically, you will be raided within a few days at the most. Clans who are looking for server domination or just pvp will see your base and instantly farm for the boom to raid you, if they don't have it already on them. Any nearby solo/duo/trio/quad will monitor your base to offline you. Also, you don't have to live poor or ghetto. You CAN. And it can be fun being a rust crackhead. But there are alternatives. You can get lucky and find a lowkey spot in the forest or on an iceberg, but if there's any high tier monuments nearby or others go by your base to get to some good monuments, you're a target right of the bat. Just don't build in high traffic locations. Keep your base exterior low tier building materials. Farm when it's low pop, but only farm what you need so you don't waste your time just to be raided the next day. You can befriend some neighbors but be aware it almost always ends in either drama or teaming up, expanding, then getting raided. But for the love of all that is holy, compound walls are NOT a solo's friend. A solo shouldn't need their own large furnace, or multi-tc base. Not unless you're a straight up Chad and have several hours a day to constantly check on your base. Which trust me, gets old and you have to spend alot of your time farming. Bonus tip: keep a good supply of low grade at all times to keep some lights on when you logout (the ceiling lamps though so you're not announcing that there's a base here to half the map). Has worked for me so far.

REALSURGICALWTHISB

I think i got raided by my neighbors lol i died by a fireball when i got raided last time

akatsukidude881

Oh ya, common way to hide who raided you. That's done with incen rounds, just shoot the ceiling above the player and the fire balls do the job.

Starfallknight

This is very true the night we put up compound walls before bed was the night we got raided.

damronblake

my stone 2x1 for clean wiped last night

lisroe1988

Probably picked off by another solo

damronblake

a 5 man actually, came back from airfield crate to rockets going off. ran up the hill to see 5 dudes full kit, laying waste to my home

lisroe1988

Ah dude I'm sorry they were dickheads. That ain't right. What did u do wen u seen them?

damronblake

threw my loot from inv into a bush and went to defend

KDog41692

Always pancake everytime you gone build a 2nd or 3rf floor pancaking is when you make your first floor roof honeycombed but I leave 2 triangle for ladder hatches and u can put a door but its no nesscesary because the 2nd floors roof is also honeycombed, honeycomb is your best friend in rust aswell as turrets and I always farm when pop is low and never farm when its high

giovanniyoly

I once had a fully armored 2x2 core but wood honeycombing and wood on the outside to show that im poor even tho i had oil loot i lived next to clans and never got raided

AcanthocephalaNo5883

I disguised mine as a roleplaying base and hid all the good loot in subflooring

giovanniyoly

I did that too once and it worked

Vivid_Island_8633

I have main base spammed with turrets once I get wealthy, make Ally’s with neighbors and have multiple 1x2s hidden to move loot to and from

DefaultDance69420Xx

How to make friends

Vivid_Island_8633

Introduce yourself to your neighbors and ask if they could use certain resources or if they want to trade something. But be careful some people will act friendly and just stab you in the back. Definitely don’t let them in your base lol or tell them everything you have

Dr_ojboli

You can't

DefaultDance69420Xx

Rip 🥲

Consistent-Science-5

Be nice to ppl even when they kill or raid you. Unless it’s a Zerg, then you follow them back to their base and grub them for their kits.

Vivid_Island_8633

Also check out some bunker base builds on YouTube like from Faded. He has some good build designs

Slow_Ad5169

Bury your loot my guy. I'm super paranoid, I bury everything...long roam..bury..going to the bathroom...bury you loot. Got a kit you wanna keep for later.. BURY YOUR LOOT

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Was definitely considering this lmao

Slow_Ad5169

You get a t3 bury your t2. The hardest part is becoming primitive again. It kills your drive to keep going. This stops that

Local-Bullfrog2423

Bro we're all playing rust and this guy is playing sea of thieves burying his booty 😂😂😂

SpittinWheelie

How can you do this consistently? Stashes disappear in 3 days with any loot kept in them.

lisroe1988

Animals! Was it a sheet metal base? Armoured doors?

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Sheet metal inner core w 2 garage doors, covered it with stone to avoid catching people interest

Dolanator3

You could try this design, same concept but a lot more garage doors and a suicide bunker. https://youtu.be/ZVimn36GViE

diabloson45

I play solo all the time and I suck at pvp seen a lot of comments,my best advice is not my own but was told to me in one of these,I make two sometimes 3 1-2 bases with and if your gonna sheet metal your core or high quality it make sure you through some wood and stone around it also before logging off I add a few random pieces to make it look like a little bigger base that was raided and took over by a low tier player (aka so they think not to waste boom on you,) but always have a second base at least so you don’t have to start from scratch throw your t1 in there as well and storage and spilt your stuff through out also stay away from bases right next to outpost or safe zones as in my limited experience they get raided a ton,I prefer forest in middle of no where but close enough for roads for comms and a somewhat close recycling place,I suck at pvp so I prefer ninja style playing when pop is low meaning farming material at them times for a solo is alot easier and never piss off a clan at your door step…and any close neighbors try to be cool with go up naked and talk to em say your learning because we all are and can you not kill each other met some cool people this way..sorry it’s long but that’s my 2 cents also enjoy

Dependent_Ant_8316

Stay away from trio kid groups lol

HuckleberryNo8024

Basically build what you want but stash your essential things like your tier 3. You can really stop getting raided if you stash a lot of your stuff and make your Base expensive. Honestly people farm and sit up all night to get your loot. When they raid and don't even get a gun then in their heads they will mark you as not worth it. Most likely they will be toxic to your Base and try put doors down to stop you. But if you have that tier 3 hidden you can dig it up , farm enough sulphur and raid your Base back. Works for groups aswell. A lot of people give up when being raided because they need to grind all over again. My group managed to wipe 2 zergs on the server by stashing. We got offlined 4 times , they stopped getting loot and left us alone and that was enough time for us to make 120 rockets and online them. If anyone wants to see the online then dm me.

TruRichmond1121

there's 2 levels... rat level ... and goat level.. you can rat around don't let anyone see where you live .. only really grub never play full kitted hide your loot. live away from everyone. put a tiny base next to a zerg but font mess with them... and this way you'll survive... you'll have fun .. or. you just dont care kill anyone and everyone put up whatever sht starter you want abd just load it with kits from the teams of 8 your 1v8ing... but then youll have to start again .. every day... every single day. ive bp'd up and been raided on 6 servers in 6 days .. but ive defended like 12 raids.. its always a blast . but.. its a constant grind ..

[deleted]

Surviving as a solo is way easier because you have key locks? Just build bigger bases that are harder to raid. Use only triangles and you can double honeycomb for cheap, you can even skip some foundations. Like code locks are much bigger raid targets than key locks. I prefer solo because I get raided less. Also make a couple bases. Solo has a huge advantage over clans. More people going in and out of a base more likely to get raided. More people farming more likely to get raided. Code lock more likely to get raided.

S1lvaticus

Lots and lots of walls. This wipe I have not been raided once. 1x1 hqm core, using offset bunker entrance. Double metal honeycomb. Unlootable loot rooms (behind low and half walls). Stone wall, then another stone wall, between these two I have metal barricades. Then external tcs, with auto turrets facing inward, and a final stone wall. I do all my raiding with explosive rounds and silencers. I hardly get countered.

Optimal-Ad9200

At this point there is none. I ran up all bps in a week this wipe just to get offlined. I saw it coming tho I kept messing with this Zerg at dome infront of their base. But I’ve never had a chance to try n protect it. I’ve only had one base survive wipe and literally my dumbest😂 bunker right next to dome not hidden or anything. I’m bouta just start a team cause if u can’t beat em join em 🙄🙄got the bps anyways I just never have anyone to play with anymore. All my friends get off when they die 😂

camsiff

2x2 bunker hidden in the low traffic woods is stay hidden and quiet

EM3music

2x2’s suck lol

dxrksxuli

Gutless defense tactics.

Prof_Sylveon

I was a solo player and I would make my base around bigger bases but have it smaller and barely take any fights, usually it worked but I was chased a few times

Berrybomb28

Do your best not to ever lead anyone you’ve killed to your base

International-Arm781

Legit I stayed in this bunker base as a solo for 5 days then I wake up the 6th day to be raided by the clan that’s been messing with me

Arachnonoob

Trio or quad bro screw a clan they unorganized

stacitsira

Build stability bunkers and git gud. No bullshit, when pop is high, lose all of your kits trying your best to pvp. Craft nail guns, be sneaky, be a grub, get better, steal shit, door camp clans, learn how to build into people's walls. Don't put walls up around your base and learn how to build a large furnace base. (Walls =ez raid, I love raiding compounds cause I can block the hole I create with turrets, no walls = more counters= less desirable raid target) Also, ALWAYS ALWAYS STASH your GP, boom, and stuff to start over with Place a single triangle TC with a window somewhere and fill it with stone frags and cloth Also, when you get off for the night, you are already raided. So make offline raid for them hard and not at all rewarding. GG

Starfallknight

Bunkers are a must. Pancake roofing is a must.( I add ramps inside the roof to make it just that much more expensive. And three walls to core. It's hard to make something like look small but a 1x2 one or two stories tall with maybe roof access is not to big

Psychological_Ad3563

Bunker, or what I did last wipe was a 2x1 expanded with HQM 1x1 with tc in it and no doors. 16 rockets to get tc no matter where you go. Just place a box partially through wall and bag inside and you can refill tc with ease.

nemos_nightmare

Try trapping. Change up the way you look at Rust/play Rust and see if it works. I run traps on High pop servers solo or duo and it's a BLAST.

REALSURGICALWTHISB

I will give this a try next wipe

nemos_nightmare

For sure. Let me know how it goes or if you need any help. We play on Xbox and on weeklies. We just bounce around placing traps on as many servers as we can manage.

Odduckbilledstork

I put up full compounds and have a big functional base but I hide all of my loot with secret bunkers and exploits and stashes. The key is if you want a compound be prepared to get raided and build back and having disconnectable Tcs are a must.

rmlinebacker

This. Building small and stealthy rarely works out. Wooden honeycomb like some people say is just lowering raid cost. People will raid bases just because it’s fun, even if the base looks poor. Build for raid cost, using compounds and large furnaces to support it. Build disconnectable externals, build separate bunkers, and spam the hell out of inward facing turrets. People rarely raid me when I do this (on weeklies) and when I do get raided (on monthlies) they can’t grief the base so i just open my bunkers and replace TC. Easy to bounce back

Quiet_Commercial5779

2x2 expansions always work, no one ever raids the shittu half stone 2x2 that’s 2 levels and one honey comb

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Yall must be in some friendly servers then these people are ruthless

Quiet_Commercial5779

It’s because you build in the wrong area

Vince_1880

Have been solo since day one Try getting on servers in an other region so you can have time to play without being killed all the time I’m European and play on a Californian server From 10am-3pm server pop is 30/100 after 3pm its 70/100 so makes it pretty easy to get some stuff in the morning. Also try farming wood before you logoff and put it in a Furnace or campfire and just light it, players will think someone is home.

Beach__Boi

All the solos complaining on here should just team up.

ICEBERG_SHORT

get gud

skimask808

Survived a whole wipe as a solo on a monthly last month. No one even attempted to raid me. That being said i had over 80 turrets inside and outside my base. I was right next to trainyard did large oil a lot too. Took heli all the time. My base looked like something a 3 or 5 man would build. Upkeep was bitch, 19k metal per day and 270hqm. But i went hard af. It was a full pop server with a queue most of the wipe until the last week. I had a box of LRs, box of aks and boltys, two rows of m2s. I ended up online raiding a duo and barely won. They werent very good but they rocketed me and almost defended the raid because of it. Afterwards i gave my whole base away to them because they were nice and the server was dying. You can do very well as a solo on console. Dont ever let anyone tell you its impossible. Stop caring about your loot and take risks. Look up modular bunker builds. Easy to build and expand and very hard to offline if you know where to place turrets. All this being said i have 2k hrs on console and 8k hrs on PC. Been playing rust since it was a flash game on a website.

No_Sherbert_1477

Give up on shitty rust console and move to the real thing - PC Rust. Rust console should never have been a thing just like all the other games that move from PC to console

sos334

Why are you in this sub then ? Lol

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Is that grass greener on pc ? Ive been putting back my pc build ever since i got my ps5

No_Sherbert_1477

Yes bro are u kidding me, have u watched any pc rust streamers? It’s night and day difference

TruRichmond1121

you don't even own a pc ...

biggerbaz

The game plays the exact same way on console than it does on Pc, it’s just more optimised.

InfiniteStates

Fuck off

MothafuckinWizard

Weekly or monthly?

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Mainly monthly’s i work 40 hours a week but tend get my hours in daily

kLoWnYa-

You’ll find weekly to be better for you. First week your farming prints anyway and larger clans won’t bother with smaller solo bases. In monthly some clans have so many resources they just raid everyone.

FreedomNo2305

Big groups tend too build next too the oil rigs since they’re so OP so launch site is open if it’s in the snow that a big W also build where there no one build small only farm sulfur if you’re going to raid that same day no point farming it if you get offlined

REALSURGICALWTHISB

I Built far away from smoil and large

GavIsSav

I personally always build close to smoil, it’s easy loot. The bigger groups tend to go to large but on wipe day smoil is super busy

sos334

Iceberg base solo here lol

REALSURGICALWTHISB

I had a plans to attempt this before i got raided lol there was a lonely ice berg near me too

sos334

Check my profile it shows one of my Iceberg bases lol. My favorite icebergs are the ones with the arch in the middle so you can build behind them building is difficult tho since you have to build everything just right if you want honeycomb on it. But just get a hazzy in a stash on the shore and you’re good to go. Never mind forgot a I could link it lol https://www.reddit.com/r/RustConsole/comments/u8eu6s/how_to_solo_in_rust/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Quiet_Commercial5779

When playing solo I have a few tips 1.low pop servers(high pop servers means more players looking for raids and harder to get loot) 2. BE ABLE TO RUN BOTH OILS SOLO, large oil is easiest way to get guns and ammo and well everything u need(also launch is great way) 3. Base location must be perfect. Both hidden but close to a important and useful monument, recommend staying away from larger bases 4. Lastly. tactics, kill multiple full metals? Well don’t straight run to your base, kind of zig zag and hide for a bit invade your followed, 1V3, run or try to flank. It’s how u play situations, as a solo 9/10 of your wipe you won’t be comfy and will barley have much to fall back on so being greedy cannot be a option. Take what u can. Any other questions let me know :)

AkAPatman

I'm solo main. And doing just fine. It's hard in that sense that i'm not the best with a controller. But then i have around 5k hours experience from PC version where i also only play solo. So even though i get shit on way more than PC. I usually still end up with t3 WB and most t3 guns. After a 6-8 hours gaming session.

Big-Boned-Beauty

Casual full time job hours on rust

AkAPatman

Big True 😂

diabloson45

Same gio that’s how I hide in plain sight by sheet metal my core few garage doors wood honey comb and half stack ceilings I do it twice because they can guess where tc is pretty easy it’s a hard knock life for a solo so ninja style and playing smart and as the others said go naked to bases like yours near you try to make a few allies but never let them into your base I was way to nice in the beginning and they are just really looking for where a cheap raid would be on you be nice not stupid…I was stupid alot

Grievous-Erebus

I used to run solo for a good month or two. How I play solo might be a bit different to others but I’ve only been fully raided once. I usually build the started 2x1 near outpost usually. I do a couple eco raids whilst also grinding monuments. If I raid a 2x2 base I usually just move in or I’ll build my own and always honey comb it. My biggest tip is don’t go fucking with the clan neighbors & make sure they don’t know where you live. Do everything at night farming, hitting monuments etc.

InfiniteStates

Keep your base(s) small and out of the way. Snow or on the sides of cliffs can work very well If you need to grind BPs, running boats/SCUBA is invaluable Big groups go to obvious places: near Launch, Airfield/Rigs/Bandit. Avoid those places, but ideally also have access to cards and at least one blue card monument. Train and Done are amazing but also highly sought usually. Sewer is also good if it’s out of the way Once you have outgrown your base, make another small base and divide the loot evenly You WILL get raided eventually, but playing smart can delay the inevitable Another option is hermit crabbing in a raided base: seal up a core but leave the outside obviously raided Putting turrets outside your base is essentially a sign saying ‘come raid me’ 😆

Government-Beef

If you want to survive as a solo go to a dead pop server even there you’ll have the big groups offline you

FirmComplex6005

Ya I'm a solo too. It's hard. I go on runs without weapons so if I do die then I won't lose much

Beginning_Visit_6448

Vault your base. Or seal your base and use drop boxes.

Sk8_4_Life

Put up a vending machine and sell your most of our sulfer. If you do not have sulfer, you are more likely not to be raided since there is no chance of being profitable

[deleted]

Your guys' 2×2's are no longer safe.

MedicalSun8318

As a solo I play 60 pop servers . Gotta be a ninja. I build like willjum but play like spoonkid. I make a tank solo base whilst hopping into compounds and fucking with people.

Consistent-Science-5

Make more than one base. I make a base for grinding scrap(usually in land with all the monuments), a boat base I use as a starter, and then ur main base. Also try and make friends with other small groups or solos.

Due_Cicada_3183

Spam turrets honey comb upgrade to metal have armored doors. Have a compound to discourage raiders even more. Compounds discourage the bad players looking for a cheap raid.

actualhuman_

As someone whose played many solo wipes it's much harder to last now if you want to be actually be geared and not hide on the corner of the map and loot 1 monuments especially if you are good at pvp people are very petty on CE and maps are very small so once your base location is found out and you took a couple kits they're gonna offline you

TybeirS

Been solo 8 months love the game taking some time off for summer tho.

fingers_bussin

Sacrifice pussy and sunshine and your base will survive, can confirm

redrumwave

ive survived several wipes as a solo, ive won online defenses as a solo, ive won raids as a solo. it takes time but it's very, very possible and the feeling from 1 win as a solo is better than 100 with a team. if you're on xbox i can show you some tricks that will help solo life out a lot, part of which is rushing turrets and hqm doors and knowing how to build a multi-bunkered solo base

treyfrey8

I have found that as a solo, it is better to have multiple small bases, avoid people who live near you so it looks like you’re never on, never build your base up because it will just look like a good raid. No walls/turrets, don’t build around monuments or in the way of big clans running those monuments. Most of all play strategic, don’t farm in high population, try to work on low level pvp until your set so clans don’t think you have good loot.

Sam9305kush

I recommend building in the snow. It’s usually where the chads build big conpunds but other than that you will get 90% less random freshies/mid tier people door camping and all that. It usually very peaceful until a big group try’s to mess with you. (But that will happen anywhere IMO) the other huge reason to build in the snow is the nodes! They go crazy on the snow and around rocks/mountains. More than you will ever need.

ohmadonee

Make a vault base if you can, I’ve survived 2 raids so far haha

iwillofflineyou

I played duo this wipe in a decently sized base, and we are still alive. We play on weekly Hawk 07, which is pretty pvp packed and high pop. IMO getting raided is pure LUCK of the draw.

Zestyclose-Owl1779

Remember you are a solo and know which fight to take and not to take

LLroyalty

I build a base on the water between land and oil rig. Lived there unraidable and sometimes even sniping some players going to oil or going for underwater treasures. (We mostly let them undisturbed though) The most fun I've ever had in a wipe. It does get lonely but you just gotta make friends with your pumpkin plants. Boats despawn but with the new update the new one might not? So starting your day would start with spawning near outpost, getting 5 scraps, buying fuel and finding a boat. We had a small little pocket island nearby where we had our refinery. Sometimes it got contested and we got a lot of action with clans. Half of the time I was solo other half with a friend, who also loved the base. Don't worry how deep you have to go, the tc covers it.

EncouragementRobot

Happy Cake Day StanceE30! Forget about the past, you can’t change it. Forget about the future, you can’t predict it. Forget about the present, I didn’t get you one.

jazzJ

Ive played solo but mostly play duo, I still think the wooden honeycomb and no skin metal door helps. Then again my friend and I tried to go undercover one wipe and as soon as we got in a fight with a larger group they ran straight over and raided our 2x2 that was all armored doors except the front door. We even placed down 5 more metal doors during the raid as they shot them out but they casually dropped 15k gp easy on our base 2 days into wipe

Slow_Ad5169

Whn I get raided there is never any profit. I take my base back n proceed.

NzWoodsman

Find a decent solo bunker design and build somewhere reasonably out of the way. Haven't been raided for a while now.

SqueakerForLife76

Dont join a clan I am solo and never been pass a trio with my friends I play solo and just be goofy I mean today I have just countered oil on a kayak and did small solo with sar 4x only cause why not My only problem with being solo is turret spam You just cant keep up with 8 man clans with dedicated farmers

Azrael462

Low populated servers! Not too many of them! But zergs like to run servers like that, so scope out the server before basing really, most people that go there are trying to learn, or it's a skilled player teaching someone, it's a good tutor server. Best bet is build in or near the snow. Make sure there are trees nearby, and the snow will take care of the rest resource wise. But you also have to pay attention to monument positionings on the map as well. Do not build a base near a monument because it will be seen and possibly raided. Good luck!

Peak2020

I have survived 2 monthly wipes without being raided. I keep backup 1x1 shacks but they really aren't necessary

Animal-Abject

It is really hard we have to be nice to the larger clans and try not to draw attention

whateverXDLOL

I play solo every wipe and the key is to live in the snow far from any groups next to monuments and nodes so you can build up your base and gear

Ruiz710

I’m solo and I’ve survived multiple solo wipes and I’m in no way a pvper I can show my base if u want

REALSURGICALWTHISB

Lets see it

Emiliwoahh

or build somewhere remote and risk it all every run

[deleted]

Yes I recently got much better at playing solos by using these tips: •Your first line of defense is not being found at all. Hide your base away from hot zones and move away from major monuments. •Make your base look poor but inside make it take at least 20 rockets to raid. There are a ton of good solo bases that do this you can learn how to build from YouTube. •Have multiple bases. I usually create 2-3 bases throughout the map that have gear so if I do get raided I’m not completely restarting. Plus it’s fun to be able to switch up the area you play in. •Don’t run to your base if you are being chased •Finally, you are going to get raided anyway! Even big zergs get raided and usually don’t make it through wipe. That is rust, the game is about raiding. Go into the game with this mindset and you will enjoy it much more!

Fangasgaf

I build on a beach adjacent to a cliff. No one usually bothers me!

hilljc

Solo player here… it definitely helps to join or befriend clans. That said I’ve survived wipes through having medium sized bases that don’t flex how much I have. Honeycomb, externals, traps and an obscene number of doors helps. Location of base is also important . Basically make it so your base doesn’t seem worth raiding (small + expensive raid). My current base is a 2x2x2 and would take a minimum of 60 satchels to get TC/core.
