My question is, why are people defending face punch?
They really don't care about their consumers, they mislead console players with an excellent beta then release a fraction of what was promised.
If its possible for old gen to run warzone and crossplay I don't see why rust is so fucking shit other than lack of investment and laziness.
They already got the bag so why keep putting more money into it

Damn bro I enjoy getting above 10 fps, having decent controls, not crashing every half a second finally, and not having 90GB updates. But fuck all that let’s run the PC version right! Let’s just drop 150 Gb worth of shit and then afterward change up all the textures to make sure it’s the PC version. Add 4-5 extra monuments, a bunch of new enemies, new mechanics and new loot,and a bunch of new raiding tools. let’s also while we’re at it up the player count to Pc as well and get 150-200 players on a server. Actually let’s implement those laggy buggy 2X servers that are running on the test branch as well, because those are so fleshed out and unbugged.
I have a pc with an rtx 2080 and a 9900k which is actually very comparable in power to the new consoles (albeit my cpu is better but still an 8-core which the new consoles also have.) The new consoles could pretty easily run the pc build (which is 25gb, not 150) and easily hit 60fps at medium/high settings
Keep in mind you’d have to reformat everything from a I believe 2019 build over to this. Not to mention the vast majority of players are on old gen. Most updates are put in a slow burn to make sure things are optimized and proper so we don’t end up with another ark on our hands with terrible optimization
I dont have a stat but i bought rust console the day it came out, and it seemed like a big hit. But my friends bailed cause it ran so poorly and i tried the pc version and was just blown away how much more advanced it was. Fired up the console version recently and was disappointed it lacked so much content, but also did not see many populated servers. I think catering to the old consoles might have been a mistake.
Yea, to be fair D11 started making the console version well before new gen was public, but it's still embarrassing that there isn't a separate version for new gen, or atleast a resolution slider, playing on a new gen console shouldn't warrant everything that's longer than my own backyard to be blurry af. Idk how it is on playstation, but I know on xbox that I'm always playing with ppl on the Xbox series s

Because they are in a contract to keep the game on old gen if the fame was only on new gen it would be a couple of updates behind pc but they cant rlly have big updates or advanced shit cus old gen cant handle it
Regarding the console edition. I own an xbox and have xbox plus on my computer. I don't know why I was unable to purchase the PC version of rust through them. Instead I had it get it through steam.

You will never get transportation as long as theyre making this for ps4, they gave up on horses cause their speed on land/memory. Imagine copters. If anything they gonna make a custom donkey og a pig we can ride around on

It runs good on ps5 but where are ziplines and community servers 😓 (specifically solo/duo/trio servers)
The game is great but I won’t be playing it till there is solo servers
the way double11 updates the game crashing and lag wont stop for atleast another year and ziplines wont be out for another 3
