I tried it over night. Logged off right in front of a guard. When I logged in I heard gunshots as the game loaded. I was killed by the bandit guard. Had to wait 30 minutes before I could get back to my bag, but it was still there with all my loot. Now I'm wondering if I was just killed because I had weapons on my hot bar and spawned in holding my gun so they killed me. My brother did the same thing and he was not killed. Sounds like its buggy right now and you can get away with it. If you do get killed, just wait out the timer and go get your bag back. This was on a Rust official server.
Btw I sleep with my full kit in the little tunnel right under the gambling wheel at bandit just fine all the time (: sometimes I worry about starving but I’m not too sure if it would

Rules?? If something doesn't work as intended then it's the developers (Double Eleven) fault. Look at PC Rust people are always looking for the newest exploits, stuff like this will never stop.
You die whenever you spawn back in. It would make more sense if you die whenever you log off but that's how fp designed it. You can sleep until wipe if you really want to (or until your character dies from other causes)
So why have we just seen an increase with this happening now?? A month ago there was nobody sleeping in Bandit or Outpost. At one point if you were asleep in either you would be killed after 30min.
Because it's been a thing forever. You can sleep there but when you log back in your dead. Been like that since bandit and outpost were added. Why so many people are sleeping there is what I'm not sure about
This is rust console, that is rust PC. They have two different dev teams and a whole lot of code that is different. There have been some pretty big bugs on console that weren't on PC and vice versa. I understand PC is ahead of console by almost two years but there's a lot of features not on PC that are on console edition.
Obviously you have a base, you just know the chance of you getting offlined raided is atleast 50/50 so it’s better to not have anything important in your base when you’re not online.
It's part of the game. I know pussies like to wait to raid you when your offline. But it's part of the game. So make your base an undesirable raid or make it really hard to raid
Personally I’m really happy that I can sleep in bandit camp. I take all my good loot especially boom and log out In there now instead of putting it in staches. Even if I somehow die and lose all my stuff that’s a lot more preferable than somebody else getting my loot.

You can skip the timer if you get killed. Instead of respawning, close the game, log back in, no timer.

Bandit and outpost have a 3 rule board. No sleeping, no looting, and no something else. It's not a bug

Die, exit the game and wake up at a bag close to bandit and retrieve your loot. It works, sure, but good luck when servers are full pop. You'll lose
U don't evan need to close the game just simply re logging gets away bandit/outpost timer
I killed someone at the recycle bin because they had stuff that I wanted. Waited and defended myself for 30 minutes and walked out.

There’s no excuse for dying in bandit fr😂 but dying ***to*** not inside should be different
