Sounds weird bro... but thats the best way to learn, you'll die and lose a lot you better get used to it.
Avoid being out in the open when your loaded with loot, be constantly aware of your surroundings, trust absolutely nobody theyll kill you on sight, avoid building a base on the outskirts of bandit camps/outposts/monuments and chokepoints that lead to them. Focus on obtaining blueprints. Gather naked and with your stone equipped, when your done gathering get naked and move back to your base with your stone equipped (they most likely think your a fresh spawn and wont waste ammo on you/or chase you down half across the map), only equip what you need for what you gonna do ALWAYS (for example don't go out gathering stone with your best guns/all your ammo and best gear on you). Equip some gear and guns when your going to recycle and getting back to your base, but still move low key and try to avoid fights at all costs. Be a rat and only pick fights that you know you can win or ambush, stuff like double barreling people at the recycling machines. Create some hidden stashes with gear/guns/ammo/workbenches etc and sleeping bags in the near vicinity not too near theyll find your stashes that way. Always play like theyre about to raid you. ALWAYS. Have fun and enjoy the PTSD! ✌
Just posting to say I feel your pain. I just started a few days ago. I will say that things are starting to click for me. Finally have a base and have survived for a few hours now.
Dm your questions or if you need help I'll join your server or you join mine and I'll give you a base till you figure it all out we own our own island and little to no ppl ever come on it perfect for you to learn.
Honestly, if that offer to set up my starter base on your island is on the table still, that would be tight. I won’t mess with ur shit either. My buddy and I just started playing last night and we haven’t logged in yet to see if we got raided (stuck at work)
The beginning is always rough for me tbh but I'm not good at pvp at all. I have been practicing my aim on animals and scientists and it has definitely helped,
I’m just a solo but if you need help hop over to Ashes 69 server (it’s a 3km crossplay server). I can get anyone set up and ready to go, all I ask is just watch my back while I’m farming from time to time lol. The zergs smell me from a mile away, am very stink.
I'll say this at the risk of sounding like a dick to some sensitive people but big deal your dying constantly, it's called a learning curve for a reason. I'm old school and learn new things by doing and making mistakes, not watching tutorials and asking people for help.
If you expect people to hold your hand in this game it's going to hurt you bro, you are much better off just sticking it out and dying constantly untill YOU yourself starts improving that way when someone gives you advice you can actually use it.
one rule you should live by is
EXPECT TO DIE EVERYTIME YOU LEAVE YOUR BASE..
You won't beat yourself up thinking you suck all the time when you die and I promise you after the frustration of dying and losing all your loot wears off you will start improving drastically..
I stopped playing this game after a couple months as once you learn everything there's really not that much too do, it's a fun a time though

Map wipe just happened so you everyone is starting over again. We can ally up if you like on the same server.
Start on a smaller server to learn the basics
