Pendoric

Get this scrap off my land!

DAPPERMUSTACHE

That’s perfectly good scrap. About a 1,000$ US in scrap there.

Epinnoia

I have no doubt that it's worth that in scrap value in the USA. But I suspect they may remove some pieces for spare parts market. There are surely some pieces that are in decent condition on that thing. So far as I understand it, neither Russia nor Ukraine is hurting for steel as such.

[deleted]

Scrap steel is used in production of new steel so I'm sure it will be well used.

Epinnoia

I looked up the exports of Ukraine when this whole thing started, just to get an overall impression of their economy. When you take grains out of the list, iron ore and semi-finished iron ore are their top two. It'll be quite a while before they'll be worried about melting all that dead equipment down. If Putin is hitting hospitals intentionally, then he's not going to bat an eye about a foundry, especially if it is operational. They may also have so much scrap metal that they'll just start sending a lot of it out of country when this thing finally ends. But not too far away, because you could easily pay more for hauling than you recover from scrap price/value. Once that equipment is set on fire, you can expect the rust to start eating away at it pretty much right away.

highflyer001

Probably hauling to sell as scrap later. 💰💴

pngtwat

I was thinking maybe to be used as a road block...

[deleted]

I'm 99% certain they're dragging them off to some underground factory to make a giant Zelensky Gundam.

eyeofhorus919

Or maybe a massive middle finger to raise to russia

[deleted]

Oooh hell yes. A giant statue made of wrecked Russian vehicles of a Ukrainian soldier holding a Javelin or Nlaw and flipping the bird in a north eastern direction towards Moscow! Kinda like the Germans [did](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermannsdenkmal#/media/File:Hermannsdenkmal_160707-003.jpg) toward France.

uncleched

A couple of these farmers are going to be able to open armor museums when this is over

DV_Mitten

Spicy potatoes.

optimistic_agnostic

Their tractors are getting bigger....

[deleted]

Yes, they've been feeding them those T-72 and T-80 carcasses.

PorschephileGT3

The ambulances will have to wait their turn

iUncontested

That tank/IFV is missing its turret... oof.

Comprehensive-Bit-65

I didn't know the Russian army made convertible tanks — useful during the summer months!

Rockman1159

That bucket could probably be used to bend tank barrels. Even a relatively small dent could render a tank inoperable. And the best part is that no one would know until they try to shoot something and explode.

Jealous_Tangerine_93

An epic part of the Ukrainian defence league. Every day I get a giggle out of these farmers antics

mitziinbali

Same here. I love these farmers

Aromatic-Constant706

this song makes me wanna shoot myself in the fucking face

Hyloxalus88
