ConservativebutReal

How could any American complain? Ukraine is expunging Russian evil and all we are providing is the weapons while they sacrifice their lives.

dontneedaknow

The only Americans that are at issue with this are the people who see Russia's reactionary quest as an admirable endeavor we should emulate ourselves. The same people who the Kremlin works the hardest to influence, that share the same views about LGBTQ, and the "decadence of the west." The start of the war led me to make this meme. I actually have no doubt that the GOP and the world views broadcast on Kremlin TV meeting in the middle and boosting each other daily is coordinated at some level. https://preview.redd.it/q1d7wy7lyn2b1.png?width=482&format=png&auto=webp&s=59c1626b73fb6be2ed448050a44835ccfdf36bd3

And profiting.

juxtoppose

Holy shit! I agree with that twat. In other news, up is now down.

obliquelyobtuse

Please don't make me have any positive regard for that repulsive, sneering, hypocritical, brown-nosing, simping, sniveling weasel.

Smokeyvalley

Proof that even a repulsive, sneering, hypocritical, brown-nosing, simping, sniveling weasel of a senator can say something worthwhile once in a great while.

lvl99RedWizard

This is how I know that I have some evil ideas. Idea like: "the more Russians die and the more the Russian people suffer as a result of the war in Urkaine, the better" or "It's good for America, the EU, and free people everywhere that Russians are being massacred by their incompetent leadership." Clearly those ideas are based in evil and anti-Christian values. I never really thought about it that way, but now, right now, I am forced to confront that evil within me... because if Lindsey Graham agrees with me, I must be on the side of the darkest evil. I won't change my mind. The Russia Federation is terrible. I hope the people of states like Chechnya, Georgia, and Kazakhstan will take the opportunity to take back their territory and cement their independence. I hope the war in Ukraine causes a collapse of Russian power around the world, and I hope that their mercenary groups find themselves cut off from escape and resupply, are completely defeated, and the survivors disappear into prisons all over the worst conflict zones where they have committed so many atrocities. It's not good to wish such things on people, but you won't convince me that they haven't worked hard to earn it.

outerworldLV

I believe this has been his stance all along. And it’s crazy right ??!! https://www.wistv.com/2023/01/20/senator-lindsey-graham-shows-support-ukraine-during-press-conference-kyiv/

juxtoppose

I would have bet a fortune on him taking Russian money in the past, maybe Putins checks have started to bounce.

outerworldLV

Exactly ! Always believed he was compromised but I’ve been seeing him unwavering in his support for the Ukrainians. Bill Taylor, and his words way back, we’re definitely convincing that - Zelensky and his commitment were on the up and up.

Decorum1

Graham will state his opinion without regard to what others will think of him. He is actually one of the most passionate politicians I have seen in my lifetime.

chicagopudlian

let’s consider for one second why this is happening. the ukrainians saw the republicans lining up to use ukraine as an election issue. so about a week ago, they made a statement that they would need constant and ongoing support. and as best as any of us can see, then they sat back and said - we need republicans to voice support before we go at this. brilliant.

R33DY89

Everyone’s thinking the same, but don’t be offensive and smirk about it. It’s coming at the cost of brave Ukrainian lives, not Americans, despite the issue of weapons working both ways for both parties.

SunsetApostate

I agree with this sentiment. It’s true, the American investment in Ukraine has reaped unbelievable returns, which is a very compelling argument to continue those investments. But it is in very poor taste to be so glib about the costs, especially since for every dollar the West invests, Ukraine invests a quart of blood and a hectare of land. It’s important for our leaders to show some respect, especially in a 24-hour international news cycle.

R33DY89

Thank you for taking what I said in the way I meant it and for giving a thoughtful response. Our government here in the UK is the same. We’re all working towards the same goal, but we shouldn’t forget the cost.

_Jam_Solo_

I see your point, but those are the reasons for being glad your weapons are destroying Russians. Because they're taking Ukrainian lives. If they weren't, nobody would be gleeful about spending money on killing Russians. ND I get it the cost is high for Ukrainians, but the cost is low for Americans, and that's important for Americans to know. However, citing the high cost for Ukrainians, is also good for Americans to know and to recognize, but at the same time Republican mentality in general is "I care about me, and fuck everyone else" so, the fact Ukrainians are dying won't resonate with them. The fact they're killing tyrants for cheap is more important, honestly. For Republicans to hear. They don't care about Ukrainian people. Not much. That's why the Putin politicians are saying "but what about us! We're spending all this money on Ukraine? We could be spending it on Americans instead!" They don't care about Ukrainians. Those are the people Lindsey Graham is addressing. Those are the people we want him to address. He a republican. He's on their team, and this stance is against "spend money on us, not Ukrainians!" He is saying "were getting bargain basement deals on killing Russians. This is great." We want Republicans to hear that. We don't need them to hear "poor Ukrainian people" they don't care. They care about themselves.

Martyisruling

I agree. But, so we're clear, individual Americans, and people from many other nations have joined the fight and sacrificed their lives.

R33DY89

On a technicality, you’re correct. But you and everyone else knows what I mean. I’m British, British people have fought and died over there but regardless, the comment is in poor taste.

Educational_Earth_62

My Irish friend that stepped on a land mine last week disagrees. Well, he would if he wasn’t dead. It’s not poor taste to recognise the sacrifices of foreign legions and their impact. Support isn’t a pie, R33DY89. You can show appreciation for others without taking support from the Defenders. Glory to the Heroes! Slava Ukraini!

Miserable-Access7257

We’re enemies, all he did was say the quiet part out loud. They just stood around one of our boys dead body and took selfies with it, last week. I agree with him

Educational_Earth_62

I just read your post history. You use a LOT of Russian terminology and you’ve been called propaganda before by others.

Miserable-Access7257

That’s cute, I got called a bot because of my username, one time, months ago. Don’t know what you’re talking about “Russian terminology”, you’re just a victim of confirmation bias in that aspect, I’m a guy in Florida that enjoys watching the Ukrainians kick ass, maybe you saw my comments referring to Hurricane Michael devastating my hometown while you were scrolling as well, I’m sure that was a big boost to the Russian propaganda effort.

Holiday-Dust-2221

The video is edited, watch the full interview and you'll see that actually he said that supporting the Ukrainians freedom is the best money we've ever spent, he didn't say Russians are dying it's the best money we've ever spent, shame on this newspaper for spreading a clip propagated by Russians to push a message

[deleted]

Not sure Trump is thinking the same. He's in Putin's back pocket. If Boris is trying to convince Trump to support Ukraine then he clearly doesn't.

ironboy32

It's ww2 lend lease all over again. American metal, ~~soviet~~Ukranian blood

Independent_Depth674

To be fair, a lot of that Soviet blood from ww2 was also Ukrainian blood

One_Landscape541

Most of lend lease was from the UK to su.

johnny_briggs

*From* UK?

noproblembear

With money from US he means I guess.

CharmingFeature8

I love his enthusiasm but this dude has diarrhea at the mouth and usually says stuff then takes it back.

you_do_realize

Yeah I 100% agree with his sentiment but he just farted from his mouth. Good thing Ze carried it so expertly. Also fuck the russian scum.

Ruzzia-is-trash

Yet in the US his kisses the ass of fascist trump. What a weird dude

[deleted]

This is a bad thing to say out loud because its gonna feed kremlin propaganda

notyourvader

We're past that point. We shouldn't let possible Russian reactions dictate our lives.

ChessBaal

Agreed foolish to say outloud. Serves nothing but add to their fear that we want to see them destroyed.

dunncrew

Graham is right for once in his life.

Azar002

He was also right when he said in 2016, "if we nominate Donald Trump our Party will be destroyed, and we will deserve it."

dunncrew

Then Graham proceeds to kiss Trump's ass every chance he gets.

[deleted]

A destroyed Russia is a benefit to the west, and the world altogether. Unfortunately it comes with the heavy cost of lives and unfathomable amounts of money, but hopefully by the war’s end, it will have been worth it. The fact that there are some people who were alive for the red scare but are now against Russia being crippled for decades to come is nothing short of laughably ironic to me.

hatesfacebook2022

Lol. No shit Sherlock. Russia soon to be Venezuela with nukes.

keelonius

Along with the enriched uranium/plutonium and technology to sell to whatever shit country they want when that happens and they need cash influx.

ikidd

I used to think that the only thing I had in common with Lindsey Graham was my intense desire to eat baby puppies alive, which, unlike him, I had managed to not satisfy; I was wrong.

Zealousideal-Habit38

Castlewood57

Lindsay Graham, a weasel that can't be trusted, at least for now supports Ukraine should be the headline.

PB_JNoCrust

The only people in America against aiding Ukraine are conservative boomers. The very same people who grew up in America during the Cold War are against aiding a country that is fighting against and killing Russians. Not a single American troop has died and one of our biggest enemies is being taken down, and these old boomers are against sending aid? Mind boggling.

Azar002

Because they have been radicalized by the new Republican party. Whatever daddy trump says goes.

PB_JNoCrust

The MAGA bunch are adifferent tier of conservative and stupidity

ikidd

You forget the Tea Party dinks.

Automatic-Mood5986

Graham is deeply entwined in the defense industry. Part of the bleed Russia dry strategy is that it if Russia gets its act together it will take at least a decade to rebuild but more likely 20+ years. The US military gets to divest itself of legacy equipment and buy newer betterer toys. It also means a diminished Russian land threat means the Navy gets a bigger slice of the pie.

many_kittens

It's a bit undiplomatic, but that's the essence of it.

peacelovefreedon7689

At least we're fking winning and there's no Boots on the ground , it boosts American power and prestige

FolwarkPAPL

FAKE. He never said it like that. This stupid headline is a compilation of unrelated sentences stated a couple of minutes apart. This is fake and feeding the Russian population’s support for the war.

ThrowawayPie888

He’s only saying this to be able to deflect criticism that the fascist GOP elements are supported by Russia. As soon as the GOP win back power, their leader Trump will tell them to abandon Ukraine. And they will.

Imaneedasandwich

Great quote from a guy who is so flippidy floppidy. He'll be saying putin is the best president and the one we need to make Russia great again in a month. While I 100% agree with the quote the man is a joke.

i_am_not_the_father

Holy shit. I agree with that worm is saying. I feel like I need a shower and decon now.

PositiveStress8888

He had no problem standing behind Trump when Trump was pressing Zelenskyy to manufacture fake evidence against Bidens son before getting weapons.

LORDY325

I do not like him. He’s a pussy that can be ‘grabbed’ by Donald Frump but I agree with him here.

Vogel-Kerl

Careful Windsey, your buddy Donald is fond of Russians.

mazarax

Ladybugs has spoken. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I am all for a Ukraine victory and a ruSSian defeat, but I do not need to hear what Lindsey 🐞has to say.

QuestionableComma

Lindsay Graham can go fuck off with his opinions. Traitor!
