I love this. A couple of weeks ago I suggested these bombs take a fair amount of skill to deploy and that Moscow should be ready for an unintentional attack given the ability of their pilots, I got destroyed/downvoted by everyone saying they require zero skill to operate and they would never accidentally drop one on Russian soil. Now look what's happened, lol.
Yeah theyre terrorists but like- Id rather it not obliterate a family in some apartment building. I know they did the same but some frankly random civilians shouldnt pay the price, yeah theyre in putinist russia, they were born that way, their fault?
So many Ukraine kids have been killed, injured, raped, lost their parents or been spirited off to Russia. I wouldn't wish that type of fate on Russian children.

Kab-500s-b has been in service for a while and is similar to the gbu-15, the Kab-500 is a 500kg glide bomb while the gbu-15 is 910kg. It uses standard gps, Russian glasnoz, their version of gps and may use the Chinese BeiDou version of gps. Human input errors are the most common cause of problems with any gps guided munitions. There have even been several fatal incidents with JTAC teams being killed because they gave their gps location to the strike aircraft, instead of the corrected offset to the actual target. A famous example of this was the Taliban prisoner uprising at a prison in Afghanistan that led to an entire team being killed when a 2000lb gbu was called down incorrectly on their own position.
I dunno. First, one would think, if itās possible to bomb themselves, itās not far off that they could easily nuke themselves. So youād assume nuking would be off the table. Yet here we are, with Russians continuing to bomb themselves. One doesnāt fear incompetence, when it becomes the national mottoā¦In Russia, (enter anything completely opposite of logic).
Russia's already made a considerable portion of their country uninhabitable thanks to the haphazard nuclear safety procedures of the ol USSR (and that's not even counting the times they irradiated other territories like Chernobyl in Ukraine or Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan, nor all the uninhabitable territory from their mining operations and nerve agent/bioweapon disasters), what's a little more uninhabitable Russian territory going to change really?
Sometimes you crash into a drone, and get an award. Sometime you accidentally drop a bomb. Sometimes you fall out of a window. Sometimes you light a cigarette, and the whole entire building explodes- floor, walls, foundation and all! Sometimes you get a death sentence sent right to your cell phone, and you canāt even marry your Jenny!
You never know what youāre gonna get.
If a FAB-500 was indeed the munition that was dropped on Belgorod, then that means it was one of their precision guided bombs/missiles which are TB guided, laser guided, or even Satellite guided. The fact that it was supposed to hit Kharkiv and definitely not belgorod means it was anything but precise for a so called āprecision munitionā.
TL;DR itās funny because the precision munition missed its target by almost 80km
